Looks as if the highly anticipated game Bionic Commando: Rearmed scheduled for release on PSN/XBL misses the previously announced May release. This was learned via the WEBSITE through the communicator. They seem to be working out the final bugs still before the final release. Full article follows.
This is MA-1. Sir, we know you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the finished Bionic Commando Rearmed, but it appears we’ve run into a few problems in the closing stages. I regret to inform you that we have received confirmation that the game won’t be making its scheduled May release.
This is always the hardest part of any battle, sir. All we can tell you is that the game is done and is more awesome than pure liquid awesome sir! Our troops right now are in the trenches, battling with bugs and submission procedures. Fatigue is starting to set in but they won’t give up until that game is on the shelves!
What’s that, sir? There are no shelves, it’s a downloadable title? You sure told me, sir. What a world we live in!

Good find – it’s a shame but nice they are keeping us posted.

Yup, glad they are keeping us posted. But damn, I really wanted to play this title. Funny as I have no interest in the new on they are releasing. Only this remake of the old one interests me.

I heard about this delay a while ago (http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3dlgames&thread.id=71688&view=by_date_ascending&page=1), so I’m not too upset about it, really. There’s a lot more than just the revamped original 8-bit game, so I’m fine with waiting another few weeks. The above link is a thread on the Playstation.com forums started by PSPMAN07. He’s usually got the best info first (recruit him, Sev!

I’m not really surprised, since we really havent heard anything about it for some time. But my question is what went wrong? I remember them saying that they were well ahead of schedule and would be May. I understand things happen, but did they just overestimate their progress?
Anyway, still looking forward to the title. Never really got to play the original on NES (other than using a rom, which I suck at PC controls), so I’m really looking forward to purchasing this.
