Several sites reporting news supported by our exclusive insider
Remember a short while ago when I (whoelse) reported that my insider had news on 2.40. PlayStation LifeStyle exclusively reported, and yet many websites ‘forgot’ to give credit to us, that features including Trophies and some sort of in-game XMB making it into the next firmware. Now there is a new rumor spreading via several gaming sites who report they have word on what 2.40 will in fact include and the features we mention are in it. Apparently developers are now receiving programing tor 2.40 so hold on tight for 2.40 which should come before June 12th (no promises). Here is a reminder on some of the stuff you can hope for:
- Trophies
- In-Game XMB (with Custom Soundtracks?)
- Improved communication features
Now just in case, we are still holding this as a rumor and if I were you, I would wait till the time comes.

Well yea, have to be careful with the way you disclose the info. As whoelse said from the beginning, anything could change. I’m looking forward to this update. Thanks whoelse for the great work and thank you all for supporting the site.

Yes that’s very true. Things do change, better of worse. Maybe custom soundtracks is a one of those changes.

If you are speaking about the “waggle” Sony’s new motion controller,that is something that could be revealed at E3. I fully expect to hear something from Naughty Dog/Sony regarding their ips. I like the pic above..Everybody thought Jaffe was releasing Twisted Metal when that first came out.
I have a theory about where the 2.4 info comes from..Perhaps a dev from a SCEE psn game that is very fun.

Gotta say…it’s pretty shady and shitty of those sites not even to mention where they first heard it. I’ve seen one sight even claiming they were first.
Keep a look out for PSU.com also, they’re notorious for jacking people’s news, previews AND screenshots without crediting anyone. Bastards.
