Are You Ready To Sneak Out?

Its actually finally here…
I just got my call from Gamestop, telling me I could pick up my Limited Edition copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots tomorrow at midnight. A moment I have been dreaming of for years.
Knowing that this is the end of the of the “Solid Snake Story” gives me some mixed feelings. Of course I cannot wait to get my hands on this masterpiece, and I only have a great gaming experience to gain, but inside I feel a loss. A part of playstation, a part of gaming, and a part of my history will be gone. Never have I developed such a “relationship” with a game or its characters. Never have I enjoyed a franchise as much as I have Metal Gear Solid. Never have I wanted to play a game so badly.
Since the 2005 Tokyo Game Show, I have been dying to get a chance to play MGS4. Now that its here, of course those feelings haven’t disappeared, in fact I am sure they have increased. But I cant help but have a sense of “whats next”? I mean, this is THE game to me. There are many games that I am anticipating, but I don’t think anything will ever reach the level of anticipation that I have for MGS4. We are a point in the gaming industry where these “hardcore” games are getting fewer and fewer. “Casual” and “Social” gaming is the future. Amazing, single player, story driven games are a thing of the past. So what else is there for this “old dog of war“? I guess I will just have to remain optimistic, that and I will just have to bask in the glory that is Metal Gear Solid 4.
Even if MGS4 doesn’t make game of the year, for me this will be the game of my life.

I get my 80 gig PS3 w/ MGS4 in 10 hours.
I pre-ordered it and they store is allowing me to pick it up today at Noon [June 11th] I’ll get an early start playing. I hope the $499 is worth it . . .

Man Im so pumped the only downfall is my retarded gamestop isn’t having a midnight release :(.. And when the store opens i don’t have a ride to go get it and my dad don’t get home till 3:30 ugh to long to wait! I want it at midnight lol

Well… you all know my history, i live on a god forgotten country…
MGS4 will not be the game of the year (that prize is for Little Big Planet)
but MGS4 will be one of the most important games on gaming history, its probably the most well produced and finest piece of gaming you will find.
Kojima Productions have maded a entire page of gaming history , maybe an entire chapter.
Guys… this is no FPS this is MGS ! this is not MGS this is History !!

This will be the first midnight launch i’ve attended. I’ve wanted this one for a long time myself. I skipped MGS3 because i was stuck in a MMO phase for a long time, but not anymore. This is gonna be EPIC!

I’d like to go out and buy the game tomorrow, but all of my money is tied up right now, so I’m waiting until my tax return arrives. It should be here before the end of next week.

i also feel the ‘what next’ , but MGS4 is MY game , is THE game for me.
MGS was the reason why entered on the game industry.
(Sure i hate programming but its a step closer to be a designer/director)

GameStop and other stores at the most will only be getting 3 - 5 units. For those who didn’t pre-order or stand in line from Midnight of the 12th, looks like you missed out. People can also try 24 hour stores like Wal-mart. Expect lines everywhere.
I pre-ordered one and was able to pick it up early. I’ll sill thinking up a name for online use. After I do I’ll start playing it.
Most websites say that they are already sold out. Sony only sent 100,000 units to America to create hype and create a crazy demand.
I like prefer the PS3 or XBOX360 but at least the Wii only has ONE VERSION!
I’m tired of a new version every 3-6 months.

I was so amazed yesterday when I pulled open our Metal Gear Boxes @ the store. I just wanted to grab it and run home.
The LE’s are so amazing looking! So what kind of people watch the Bonus discs first? Or just go straight to online? I know I will watch the Blue Rays first & than make my way to the game. There could be awesome footage for in game hints and tips etc in the mix… ?

GTA IV have GOTY (possibly, game of the decade) hands down. Regardless, MGS 4 is a masterpiece, I will miss Snake, but MG franchise will continue, I can guarantee.

Hell Yea…forget all the fan boys all the monkey see monkey do hype, I’m a REAL gamer. I’ve waited for this game like forever I hope I don’t look like snake when and if FF7 remake for nextgen ever comes out. I think I could die completely happy if that happens. From:Atary 2600 to PS3 I’m feeling just like snake right about now LOL!! Can’t wait to witness & see greatness while there is still some true game developers like Kojima left in this getting dirty not true to fans Videogame Industry a.k.a 2nd Hollywood $$$$$/ Casual gamers get your kicks know… Generation Red Ring will cry for innovation & evolution like Sony been doin for the last decade. Doesn’t hate congratulate & thank the people that really try not to forget about the true gamer & what it really means to give us what we really want a great game that’s deep, smart, fun, a story thats really good, good characters & deep game play. But to me this is not just a game but an interactive experience of a lifetime.
