Rumor: Exclusive Info on Bioshock

Bioshock meets Lego

Today we bring you exclusive inside info on Bioshock, one of the most anticipated PS3 games of 2008 and due to be released at the end of the year. As always with all our inside info, we remind you it’s still a rumor until its official.  So without further or do, here are the the exclusive details we have for you…

  • New opening video around 6 minutes long on how life was like before Rapture went bad.  Original video starts after this one ends.
  • Trophies of course will be in the game
  • Exclusive new level, with 2 new enemies, thought to be the ‘zoo’ level that was excluded from the original 360 edition due to running out of time
  • Some levels may have been tweaked from the 360 version
  • All downloadable content after the release will be free
  • The game will take advantage of the SIXAXIS motion sensing technology
  • Slightly better Graphics, less pop-up and loading times decreased thanks to hard drive install

  3. Alakratt Says:

  4. Cruiz Dwyer Says:

Was the DLC not free to begin with?

  6. whoelse Says:

The install should be less than 5.

  7. MaN_uTd Says:

if the installs are like the MGS4 one im Fine with it

  8. stalkingsilence Says:

    Dirty

  9. LinuxGuru Says:

Those of you that cry about mandatory installs are throwing the standard hard drive philosophy right back in Sony’s face.

What in the hell else do you think games would do with the hard drive?

You should LOVE the installs because they usually IMPROVE the experience while playing a game!

    Be grateful!

  10. kingofthedead Says:

Why do people even complain about install times. There no longer than 10 mins anyway(longest was MGS4) grab a snack masterbate(if thats what your into.

  11. jack Says:

if the install has a noticeable difference then i’m all for it

  12. MaN_uTd Says:

This lil kids bickering about everything LOL… no space, no harddrive, I’m out of space, too long to install. SONY always been ahead of their time. We got hard drives be happy get over it; it’s called evolution or get a wii LOL. What?! you rather pay for a bricked red ring with no hard drive & if you do get a hard drive you pay close to a $100 for 20 or 40 gigs & try putting that hard drive in another 360 that’s not yours & see what happens LOL. And on top of that 360 fan boys got a red ring more than ones. If anything the 360 is holding the games industry back in tech even though it came out first. All we could use if for is a dummies console to fix all the bugs & glitches of some of the good 3rd party games that good enough to make it to the PS3 like BIOSHOCK. 1st xbox 3years 2nd 4years maybe five!! PS3 10 years, PS4 who cares we Believe in beyond…

I’m really excited for BioShock or BS2 to be landing on the PS3. I’ve been wanting to play this game since I saw a 15 minute preview OnDEMAND like 2 months before the game’s launch.

  18. MvmntInGrn Says:

Great news, looks like the PS3s strengths are coming in handy.

  19. Action Bastard Says:

    Sold.

  20. Power of Green Says:

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

LOL this is really ridiculous, Sony fanboys acting like retards for a leftover that OBVIOUSLY WILL LOOK WORSE than the beautiful 360 version that can be only matched by the most powerful computers in the earth! maybe the pentagon computers can emulate the power of the 360 but the POS3 version will look like crap.

Man it’s funny that the Sonytards trow a ton of money to bring this impossible title for the POS3, I bet it will look like a old nintendo game and will require 4 blurays to fit this one on the low end console POS3.

but well, the POS3 got absolutely nothing to play right now and will need something that at least carry a title.

enjoy a lesser version of this awesome title.

    XBOX FOREVER @ XBOXKINGS!

  21. Uboo Says:

I hope it does include all the above. I don’t care if there are installs. I just delete the games I’ve not played in months and move on. Hope the garphical improvements don’t effect frame rate tho. An extra chapter or 2 would be very nice indeed tho. Maybe they can introduce movies of how the game was made - just like in Uncharted.

I bought Bioshock on the PC last year and I am going to buy it again for the PS3. I really love this game, but playing it on the PC isn’t as fun as sitting on my couch. And even if I did move my PC to my HDTV, I would have to go out and buy an official Microsoft 360 controller for Windows to play with a gamepad. Plus, there’s a glitch with my video card and most of the rest of the 7 series Geforce where the loading takes literally >7 minutes for each level. Anyways, my point is that Bioshock is an amazing game and I would really like to re-experience it.

  25. Crazeegamer Says:

    Oh yeah! Take that 360

Hopefully these are true. Regardless i’m still gona purchase it

    @Power Of Green…

Your comment came up in my spam filter, but I have de-spammed it, just to make an example of how foolish you look.
You come to PS site, only to bash it…
You wont see me on your site, bashing the 360….

Lastly, you just confirmed what most people on N4G thought was true…
Power Of Green = TheMart @ Xbox Kings….
How do I know? Because I can see the email address you used to make your comment.

  27. Sporty Says:

    Hopefully these are added.

I played a bit of the 360 version, got sidetracked for awhile then my 360 RROD’d on me so I’ll probably pick up a PS3 version.

But XBOXKINGS, shows a level of insecurity to come to a site just to troll.

    @ Power of Green :

You crazy a*s fool. I have a Gaming PC, Wii, Ninty DS, X360 and a PS3 and do you know what - I just love playing great games no matter what platform they are on.

As a lover of gaming, the only true way to get the broadest experience is to have all as many platforms as it is possible for an individual to afford.

Fanboyism saddens me, as it shows that as you are loyal not to gaming - but to forcing your opinions on other people in an abusive and biased manner.

On top of from your comments you have shown that you have no understanding of basic console hardware. Due to the PS3’s architecture games have to be coded in a way that takes advantage of the CPU’s many cores - agreed many games fail here which is why a lot of games do look sh*t, but CoD4, MGS4, Burnout Paradise, GT5: Prologue all look fantastic. We’re still waiting for the steady constant stream of games on the PS3, but a few gems have been produced so far.

Go Google how both consoles work, you’ll learn something.

Each console has its strengths and weaknesses, Xbox’s strengths are clearly raw, easily accessible power and the LIVE service. The PS3 is competent in many areas and has some great games now but its true potential is only just starting to come through.

Have a play on MGS4 or GT5. Even if you don’t want to buy the console, you can’t deny that Sony’s got some great franchises. Vice versa, any clear-thinking PS3 owner will admit that the Xbox is a strong console with great exclusives and online support.

Open yourself up to other platforms, you’ll discover some great games and have alot of fun!

  32. Egghead1987 Says:

Oh - and you have done your site quite a disservice with this rant, as your opinions won’t count to anyone that truly loves great games or has a basic level of technical understanding.
