In-Game XMB And Trophies Officially Confirmed For FW 2.40

What PlayStationLifeStyle.net has been reporting now for close to a month, has finally been confirmed.
Eric Lempel, Director of PlayStation Network Operations, confirms In-Game XMB in FW 2.40…
“We’re also happy to officially report that the 2.40 system software update for PS3 will include “XMB” access in-game. The update will also include “trophies,” an exciting new feature that we’ll be providing more details on soon, as well as some other new enhancements. We’ve talked about some of this on the blog previously and know that many of you can’t wait to get your hands on these features. You can expect us to share all of the official details shortly.”
Finally what we have been reporting all along has been officially confirmed.

With the date it was comprehensible because even Sony doesn’t release thing in official dates. But for some reason I still thinks is in June but it makes no sense with this update now soo…
I dont think we will have to wait till E3. Sony simply needs to test the new build without the bugs which they discovered. I think they want to release it as soon as possible.
