Today, gamesindustry.biz spoke with Alex Evans, co-founder of Media Molecule, the developer behind the upcoming and much-anticipated “Little Big Planet” (pictured above).
Part one of the interview with Evans explains how their open relationship with Sony has affected Media Molecule and the development of Little Big Planet, as well as the “evangelism” regarding all the buzz created about the title.
It’s an interesting point of view which shows you that a company as large as Sony can, and is willing to, really help and promote smaller developers with unique and fresh ideas.
This game’s got me pumped big-time….I can say that I am genuinely excited to play Little Big Planet!
Littlebigplanet will be great and addicting !
I’m very excited about the impact that this title could potentialy make in the games industry. I foresee user generated content to be a big part of this generation. I can’t wait!
Little Big Planet will be a huge change.
Im hoping that it will have a huge community.
Open Relationship with Sony sounds like hes a swinger
Looking forward for part 2. Awesome article, showing how a small group of people can make an awesome game. You don’t need 1000 people to make a great game.
This will be a must buy title for every PS3 owners. No learning curve, so anybody can play and fun from very yound to very old. Not that many titles can claim that.
I can’t wait for this.. It’d be awesome if they released a tiny free app that lets you customize a character for when the full game comes out – it’d be a good way to not spoil the game, but get people excited at the same time.
It is good how Sony seeks out and supports new and creative ideas. Cant wait. I keep marking the calender over and over just waiting patiently. It sure paid off with MSG4 and GTA4.
