PAIN Update Causing Network Connection Errors

Users on the playstationlifestyle forums are reporting that the new PAIN update released today is causing a network connection error.

“A network error has occured, you must restart PAIN and reconnect to access any online content”

So far, no word on any underlying cause or possible fix.

UPDATE: IGN has been made aware that Sony intends to have the issue fixed within 12 hours.

    i thought its my pain game that is getting this.
    i deleted the game and re-downloading it again.

    It’s not the game. There’s a power outage in Europe where the servers are so the update is messing up. Just press X and you can play for now. The error code will go away soon after the power comes back.

    Like everything from Sony, they will send updates.

    I own Pain. It’s ok for quick gametimes. The online disc. only happens now and then.

    The Civilization Revolution Demo causes the PS3 to turn off sometimes… annoying.

    I am always looking at this game… tempted but is it really fun???

    Recently downloaded High Velocity Bowling … for my sister … it was cool.

    I did get burned on that GoSki was lil let down but again my sister wanted it so I said fine. I knew we should have stuck with PS2 SSX3
