Media Molecule confirms the LittleBigPlanet beta is REAL!
TheSixthAxis made news this week showing a PSN friend that is playing the supposed “Little Big Planet beta”.
I was unsure whether the picture was authentic until now.
On their blog, Media Molecule mentions: “(we are working very hard, honest! The beta-trials are keeping us especially busy).”

Cool!!

Yeah I was pretty excited about this - and by excited I mean totally jealous. Hopefully we’ll learn some more about an expanded beta (pure speculation) at E3.

Great!

Beta? Great. More waiting.

Little Big Planet Beta = the chances of this remaing on schedule are high. That’s good, I’ve been waiting impatiently for this title.

Would you rather have games that end up being over hyped and under developed or would you rather the game get entirely updated and prepared. I mean companies want to push back games less than we want them pushed back. Time is money, so why would they just spend a bunch more money unless they felt it would really affect the quality in order to make the game good enough for more sales.
I know it has been a long wait but between Disgaea 3 Absence of Justice and Soul Calibur IV and Burnout Updates goin on, MGS4, GTA IV, etc… you should have plenty to do anyway.

MakaiSenki,
I couldn’t agree more. Especially about the burnout updates - going to get back behind the wheel again tonight after v1.3 (Cagney)!

This game is worth the wait. This is going to be a loaded end of the year. My poor wallet. I might as well curse finals early. lol

I wouldn’t doubt that those of us with Qore will probably get into a beta…

i think thats a good bet ….. do you work for sony?

Do I work for Sony? No not at all, but it just makes sense as I don’t see any reason why Qore wouldn’t have access to LBP as part of their content before the release and you do get into betas before others….plus it would be a good way for the E-magazine to get money from people who will pay either the $3 bucks or 13 months sub just to get in!

Dam I contacted Media Molecule and SCEE to try to get into the beta a month ago. The beta was confirmed on Xplay in May/June when Kyle Shubel said a closed/open beta was coming in July. I figure since MM and SCEE are making this game its being tested by consumers in the European market not the US.

I wonder how many people are harassing that player, I’m beta testing HOME, I don’t know really how I became a beta tester on that back in Fall 07, but I get tons of messages of, “how are you playing home?”
I hope I get on the Little Big Planet Beta.

How do you increase your chances of getting into videogame Betas? I mean is it all just random or can you have very good chances versus very bad…
