Rumor Killer: FFVII Remake Is NOT Coming

While, I CAN confirm something having to do with FFVII will be announced soon, I also have received the bad news that a FFVII remake is NOT the secret that has been rumored all around the net.
Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, especially with the recent announcement of FFXIII not being PS3 exclusive any longer. I am sure you all know that I wish I was confirming it right now.
Anyways. Hopefully, I have some more info that I can actually talk about by the end of E3.

Not what I wanted to hear.
I so want to play FF7 and don’t want to dish out for a PS copy and I don’t think I could play it on PC… so I’ll hold out hope that it’ll show up some day.
But I can’t wait to hear the news… as long as its good news.

the FF VII announcement is probably the movie in bluray on a bundle.
I really doubt that the sony guys have anything big to counter attack MS.
Im a little bitter right now ,im usually more optimistic.

People who tout “no source = BS” or “no source = PSLS trying to get hits” obviously don’t know what Sev has offered in the past (proven btw) with his connections.
You can try and spew what you want, but those of us who have followed Sevs/PSLS’ info have absolutely no reason to question anything with his PROVEN track record.

theres a playstation in mgs4 i dont thnik they would model the special edition ps3 into the game if they were going to port it to 360….

Nice post, I enjoy a lot playing games actually, especially the latest console tech like the PS3. IMHO, PS3 is way better than Wii or XBox 360.

The only other thing Square Enix could announce that FF fans would consider a “Big FFVII Announcement” would be a PS3 exclusive RPG sequel to FFVII. Perhaps instead of Sephiroth, the gang has to defeat Genesis this time around. I would consider that “BIG”.

Maybe this is true. However, I find that kind of odd that Sev is the only one to be posting this “rumor killer” scoop…I’ve been looking all over the net, and only found Sev’s topic.
I mean, even if Sev has sources (which are realiable) I ought to believe that others (who are also close to Sony…SE…ect) would have posted something too no?
I also wonder why Hashimoto is teasing us by mentioning multiple possibilities , and still talk of a possible remake eventhough Sev knows that there won’t be one…
Another thing that puzzles me is that : Hashimoto is still trying to puzzle out what the “shocking” announcement regarding FFVII could possibly be…
Eventhough Hashimoto works at SE (co- producer?) he doesn’t know. So, it is hard to beleive that Sev would truly know. Unless of course, Hashimoto is teasing us, which is a possibility.
Sev, how can you be entirely sure that whoever gave you the info didn’t lie to you? After all, it’s really suppose to be a Surprise! ^^
One last question, eventhough a lot of people seem to say that your sources are reliable, for those who haven’t heard about you a whole lot, a soure would be reeaally appreciated!

I’m willing to bet that it’s just Cloud being playable in the upcoming fighter “Final Fantasy Dissidia” for PSP.
I think it’s already confirmed that they’ll be showing off Dissida at the conference on the 2nd or 3rd of august, right?
