have a least one full season for example family guy has 6 seasons and most of them are full in the new video store

  2. CrapFactory Says:

The [adult swim] 15 minute cartoons shouldn’t be $1.99 like the 30 minute episodes. How about a 2 for $1.99 deal?

  3. incredibilistic Says:

I’m hoping that they’ll offer a deal to download an entire season at a discounted price.

Not a big deal but what happened to the special backgrounds for each movie studio? Saw it on the E3 presentation but not in reality.

Oh well, HUGE amount of content for the first night.

  4. sev1512 Says:

Its not backgrounds for each movie, but if you browse by studio you will see different backgrounds for each studio

  5. AxeCain Says:

  9. whoelse Says:

Even if you have a US account in a non-european country, you still cant view the video store :(

  10. Pesico Says:

@whoelse: You say it’s set for UK this fall. Does that mean just UK or does it mean other countries in Europe aswell?

  11. whoelse Says:

    Europe and maybe Japan

  12. Fersis Says:

oh so sucks to be in Europe ?
Blame the ammount of languages there :(

  13. Kanes_Inferno Says:

So, what happens if say..we have movies downloaded and our system has to be sent back to Sony? We lose all our downloads? This is my only concern, the store is awesome and the prices are reasonable.

BTW, huge fan of this site, it’s my primary source for Playstation news now. Great jobs guys, keep it up.

  14. Pesico Says:

Just take out the HDD before sending it in (take a backup first, because each time you put the HDD in a new PS3, you need to format it).

It’s difficult to take backup if the system is bricked, and thats why we all should back it up regularly.

Newer titles seem to be the ones that cost $12.99 and 14.99. Many episodes are missing from a lot of the shows. It’s Always Sunny is missing a crap load of season 3 episodes. HD videos don’t transfer to PSP, didn’t know that, pretty lame. If you are transferring to PSP you need a big ass memory card either 4gb or more since the standard def movies are ~1.5GB. The shows are smaller. I find it funny that only a couple of the networks featured in that leaked PS video store image Sev found a few months back made it, the others must be coming later like NBC, Universal, Showtime, CBS, HBO were all listed in that leaked image.

  16. DevonTheDude Says:

I want a buy season feature similar to Itunes to buy a season of shows. If they could partner with Apple’s Itunes MS would be screwed

  17. DevonTheDude Says:

Oh anyone looking for a hell of a good deal on a PSP memory card, Frys.com has a 8GB Memorystick Pro Duo on sale for $51.99 w/ free shipping.

    Here’s the link

  18. DevonTheDude Says:

    @me on the Itunes

Apple would be very interested in getting a 1up over MS in the console field too, I’m pretty sure they like Sony a lot more than Microsoft. That would be a major competitive advantage over Live’s video store and the Netflix deal.

Heck you can already rip DRM based Itunes media from your Ipod if you didn’t know (a little secret most don’t know about). Plug the Ipod in to a usb port, go to music in the XMB to see the ipod listed at the top. Hit triangle to view all contents then select music/Itunes (w/in the Ipod sub menu) and poke around you will find gibberish files that look like someone mashed a keyboard, these are DRM based music files that can be copied to the PS3’s HDD. All you have to do is rename the file once it’s on the PS3. The 360 and PC (w/o a hack/software) can not do that! Oh don’t forget to enable ACC playback in the system settings for it to work properly. Thought you Playstation Lifestyle readers would like to know that w/ all the custom soundtracks coming.
