This article is just for kicks. Today when Chris Rah Osiris and I were playing Little Big Planet with our friend from WhatIfGaming, I tried my hand at creating a Dark Knight Joker Sackboy.
How do you guys think it turned out?

July 17th, 2008 at 4:09 AM
I WANT IT!!! Also how did you guys like it?
July 17th, 2008 at 4:09 AM
Lol, hahhahah dont rub it in. Yeah I admit, I sucked hard at the game.
Your Killzone sack boy, died quite a few times too!
July 17th, 2008 at 4:10 AM
Little Big Planet was probably the very best game shown at E3 IMO.
Even though Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and inFamous were right behind.
Sony has some excellent games lined up.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:12 AM
AWESOME this game keeps getting better and better. I CAN’T WAIT. THis game is going to blow every one minds.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:14 AM
Looks like a person from some emo or punk band lol.
Im jealous that you got to play it though.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:18 AM
@ claass
We have been assured its coming in October. So not too much of a wait, it will be more than worth it.
This game is going to be well worth the wait.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:20 AM
Lol, my Killzone Sackboy had his share of death. He learned fast. He quickly mastered the force, errr physics. lol
July 17th, 2008 at 4:20 AM
I forgot guys is it a full Blu-Ray release or PSN?
July 17th, 2008 at 4:24 AM
Actually that wasnt discussed at all.
Its FULLY featured, so I am thinking Blu-Ray.
Chris… Why didnt we think to that questions today.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:28 AM
My thoughts about this game have completely changed from when I first saw videos of it last year or before. Ill definitely be getting it.
@Pete
I thought I heard it was going to be a full Blu-ray release, but I could be wrong.

Not sure how reliable these are, but since it is slated at $60, I doubt it will be on the PSN.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:34 AM
I haven’t the slightest clue why we didn’t ask that.
They initially said that it was going to be a dual release, back when it was first announced.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:55 AM
Its going to be a full blu-ray $60 Bucks release Im 100% sure so dont expect buying it from PSN.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:58 AM
Well I will happily be dropping $60 then
July 17th, 2008 at 5:16 AM
LOL it turned out great haha!!
July 17th, 2008 at 6:05 AM
Sev!…When building stages, can you control where the camera is going to be? like when you get to some part it zooms in or out, or “freezes” so you could make a more “cinematic” level, or maybe just for strategy in the stage design?
(hope i am being clear, because English is not my first language)
July 17th, 2008 at 6:14 AM
Yes you can control the camera. To look at the depth of what you are creating you can even tilt the camera upwards to show you the stage on a downward angle.
July 17th, 2008 at 6:36 AM
Just wondering, I know the game has 3 levels of depth/2D, did it get hard to tell where each one was?
July 17th, 2008 at 6:45 AM
Nice, but where is a batman sackboy? Did you guys see the sac girls that were announced, I haven’t seen a girl one yet. Any new unannounced features/ modes?
July 17th, 2008 at 7:00 AM
That was great!!! LBP had me the most excited out of any game shown at E3
July 17th, 2008 at 10:15 AM
This is the year I am changing my gaming habbits. I will buying unique games instead of regular third-person and 1st person shooters. So far in my list is:
Mirror’s Edge and LBP.

@ The_Icon
Trust me, you’ll enjoy gaming A LOT more when you diversify your library. I’ve been doing just since the PS2. I’ve got a lot of weird-ass games that are bloody fun.
July 17th, 2008 at 12:24 PM
Im so jealous right now…
LBP its amazing
July 17th, 2008 at 12:43 PM
Haha! Classic! I can’t wait to see what quite a few people will come up with when the game comes out. We all have really been looking forward to the level creation… but even the character creation looks like it could be really fun.
July 17th, 2008 at 12:56 PM
Its on BD only,not PSN.
July 17th, 2008 at 1:54 PM
As others have been saying, it was originally mentioned as PSN/Blu-ray, but is now ONLY a Blu-ray release.
July 17th, 2008 at 1:54 PM
BTW, awesome sackboy sev.
July 17th, 2008 at 7:08 PM
I cant wait to make my own Spidey Sack Boy
July 17th, 2008 at 8:38 PM
I’m smelling a Jason Vorhees sackboy in my future.
July 17th, 2008 at 8:52 PM
That Sackboy looks awesome. Too bad you didn’t make the Dark Knight himself, If possible.
July 17th, 2008 at 11:43 PM
Great, but where is the green hair?
July 17th, 2008 at 11:48 PM
I need the Playstation Lifestyle team to ask this for me, or rather telll this to the developers of LBP.
Customizable sound effects and soundtracks. Make it so people can record their own sound effects through PS Eye or their USB Mic. Make it able to be activated via flags like you do with any other event in LBP.
For soundtracks make it so it can loop, and according to different flags make it able to switch soundtracks.
Make this off record because it might be a concern for copy right infringement. But I was thinking that somebody down the line is gonna make all the original Mario levels, maybe even a seemless one from start to end (or atleast when going down the pipes). And I was thinking I could record myself singing the Mario tune by myself and use that as the background music, and make all the sound effects just with my mouth.
Maybe they already have this in works and it would be such a icing on the cake… Please, you don’t even have to ask for confirmation, but just let the higher positioned developers know about this idea. Thanks a bunch!!!
July 17th, 2008 at 11:53 PM
I was also thinking of making a series of Virtual Hunted Houses depending on the limitations of what can be done in LBP. Customizable sound is definitely needed for that… Again thanks for everything including this site =)
July 17th, 2008 at 11:55 PM
LOL, nice work
July 18th, 2008 at 1:24 AM
@Dir_en_grey
They already confirmed that sound effects triggered via flags are in the game. They said it’s entirely possible that you could set up a level so that if you go at the right pace, a song would play uninterrupted or play a nice melody with different sounds. Hope that makes you happy.
July 18th, 2008 at 7:52 AM
So will it also be easy to, I guess… upload different things onto LBP that will make our sackboys very customizable? Will it be sort of like user-created items in The Sims, where we could upload our own user-created accessories to make the sackboys look like specific characters? Or do you just choose strictly from accessories that are already in-game?
July 18th, 2008 at 7:58 PM
This game is the only reason I’d have for getting a PS3, and I am now seriously considering it.
July 20th, 2008 at 4:51 AM
@ Dir_en_grey
and ALL those who have ideas/suggestions
Go here –> http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board?board.id=littlebigplanet <–
They’ve taken most of our votes, thats the official thread from PS3 for LBP.
