WipEout HD update: By the end of this year

WipEout HD, a 60 FPS 1080p futuristic high-speed racing game (no, we weren’t paid to say that) has been one of the most hotly-anticipated PSN games of this year, but where is it? Well Eurogamer (again), managed to speak to David Reeves who explained than there was a “really tricky technical problem that no region has been able to solve at the moment” and therefore he thinks the game will get released by the end of the year. We are intrigued to find out exactly what this problem is.

You sure you didn’t get a few $$$ for that plug? Maybe you should hit Sony up for a few $… pay off you’re address registration or something. :p

As a programmer im dying to know that really tricky technical problem !!!!
What can it be ?
I remember having read ,that SNK Playmore canceled a game ( I think that it was Kof 94 rebout) because they could not fix a bug (apparently related to the xbox hardware ) ,its the first time i ever heard that a major company ‘gave up’ on fixing a bug.

Who’s saying that? Not heard anybody say anything bad about Reeves, I actually like him a good bit.

Mind you, I don’t live in Europe (or frequent their forums) so I’m not sure how they feel about him. But if the only gripes are the delay in game releases and the PS Store then the only comment I have for them is to agree on a language.

Hopefully this is out at least for Christmas!

The problem is that its failed all the epilepsy tests….miserably. So much that the game has to be completely re engineered. “End of the year” is very optimistic.
