Looks Like One of Our Wishes May Be Coming True: EyePet

Videogaming247 is reporting that a “next-gen” PSEye title will be revealed during the Sony Press Conference today. Additional PS Eye gaming content was on our Leipzig announcement wish list. No one has let what the exact details of the game are slip. In truth, the genre of the game has not been leaked either. So it could be anything. I would not be surprised by a FPS. You do remember seeing the ability to use the EyeToy to look around corners. (I personally wanted to see this in Resistance 2 and Killzone 2). Anything is possible. It could even be another card game. (EOJ is fun. You know it is).

Do you want a pet that you don’t have to buy food for and clean up after? How about a pet that can do things such as color? I want one. In fact, it is the only type of pet that I want. This and more is what you can expect from the upcoming title, EyePet.

Well the title of the videogaming247 says a game and the article’s first paragraph tends to make it appear as an entirely new Eye Toy is coming, but the second paragraph confirms that it is indeed a game.
I would be happy either way. I tend to doubt it is an entirely new eyetoy though.

It’s great to know that they are trying to utilize the Eye more. Aside from EoJ, the Eye is just about useless unless you use it to video conference. I don’t imagine that many people use it for that.

Hopefully sometime soon. I don’t think they would have shown off the tech and then not put it to use. There is time to put it into future titles. I won’t lie though. This new title is rather nice. I can see me spending time playing with my EyePet.

I would rather have an EyePlant than an Eyepet. Something i can watch grow, bloom and die. It’d be nice to have a unquic(Sp?) randomized plant that’d be different maybe every week or so.
