A screen which doesn’t scratch when I breathe on it. -- Get a screen protector
A web browser which doesn’t run out of memory if I open more than one page in one session. -- That requires more RAM most likely try remote playing your PS3's browser instead
Speakers which I can hear more than three feet away and actually detect a bass response. -- headphones FTW!!! What are you using the stock speakers for?
A plastic that doesn’t attract my fingerprints better than a Scenes of Crime Officer at a gangland murder site. -- Skins, clean it every now and then... etc... I had the same issue with my DS Lite. On my DS lite I just put a big DS Lite Skin on it, with my PSP I just ignore it.I also have extra skins just in case.
Wow i'm amazing I just fixed all of this guy's problems with his PSP for...less than the price of buying a new PSP. If he doesn't have a PS3... or any friends that will let him remote play theirs... then what is he doing here where it's MOSTLY PS3 newss with a tinge of PSP news on occasion.
These problems aren't exclusive to Sony's PSP. My only worry is Sony following Nintendo's footsteps and updating it every year or so... T_T. New color, new GBA SP, New bright light, new DS, new DS lite, New colors for the DS lite, new colors for the DS, new GBA Micro, etc.... etc...
This has been goin on for decades with Nintendo... Sony is starting down a slippery path... I blame consumers encouraging it, and pirates for making the PSP market more desperate place for all.

@Jay

A screen which doesn’t scratch when I breathe on it. — Get a screen protector

A web browser which doesn’t run out of memory if I open more than one page in one session. — That requires more RAM most likely try remote playing your PS3′s browser instead

Speakers which I can hear more than three feet away and actually detect a bass response. — headphones FTW!!! A screen which doesn't scratch when I breathe on it.
A web browser which doesn't run out of memory if I open more than one page in one session.
Speakers which I can hear more than three feet away and actually detect a bass response.
A plastic that doesn't attract my fingerprints better than a Scenes of Crime Officer at a gangland murder site.
Now THAT would be an improvement.

How about:

A screen which doesn’t scratch when I breathe on it.<br
