Maybe it’s cause it allows full remote play capabilities, i.e not just PSN games.

Using the dual shock controler, is the psp-3000 not easily able to be knocked off? Risky surely?

I fail to understand why someone would want to use a controller with the PSP unless they were displaying it thru their TV as well. Why not just hold the thing in the first place?

well considering my first gen psp was stolen and my dad is gonna buy me

a new one.. which would be the psp -2000.. well i heard about the

psp 3000 and im gonna wait till november for that … one reason being

the anti-reflective screen cuz when i work im in a vehicle all day and

would love to beable to acctually see it… meh 30 minutes less battery time..

rather have that then not being able to play it till i get home… oh wait

i just play my ps3 lol.

I still have my PSPhat and I don’t plan on upgrading to the PSP-3000.

I like the heft of the original and the fact that the device appears to be all one unit versus the obvious frame around the PSP-2000 model.

What Sony needs to work on is getting better games out for the PSP. They seem to spend more time updating the device, adding new features that really don’t matter like Skype and internet radio, and less time getting/developing good games. God of War, Syphon Filter and a few others are AWESOME games but we need more than a dozen good games for a system that’s been out almost 3 years (or has it already been 3 years?).

Being able to play with the DS3 is nice but this is a PORTABLE device. How crazy would you look holding a controller the same size as the PSP itself on the bus or train? And will the PSP come with a stand of some kind? Or is the DS3 support meant for you to fire the PSP on your TV. Again, it’s no longer a PORTABLE device when all of the new features are meant for home. If Sony is going to bother adding new features add some stuff that makes the device more portable. We’re all still waiting for the inevitable iPSPhone so why not spend time working on that while also working on getting better games? How about access to PSN without going through my PS3? What’s up with the GPS that Japan’s already got? I know it’s not ready yet but will we get Home access through the PSP? I’m sure there’s a lot more that could make the PSP more portable and accessible and Sony needs to start thinking that way versus trying to make the PSP into a mini PS2.

I hate to sound so bitter but I’m not excited about this new version and if it were up to me I wouldn’t even bother releasing it and just wait to unveil the iPSPhone next year.

I still own the original and will probably not buy any new ones till PSP2.

Are there any performance increases in this new PSP? I currently own the first generation PSP.
