Sony Beefing Up PSP Capabilities this Fall

The PSP will finally have a wi-fi store. (Everyone applauds and throws confetti in the air). SCEJ announced this great news today. It has been a long time coming. This will eliminate the need for a PS3 or PC when you purchase PSP content from the store. Great news indeed. It is not the only news.

PSP will have ONLINE play through the PS3. AMAZING. Titles that currently offer Ad-hoc multiplayer will have full infrastructure play through the PS3. (Must hold back tears of joy). Monster Hunter  Portable 2nd G will be a title that takes advantage of this new feature. All PSPs will be able to use this new service. The service will also provide voice and text chat capabilities. (I wish the wireless keypad would play nice with the PSP, then all of my dreams would come true.)

More info will be released in the near future. I think TGS would be the perfect time for this. I will not complain if the info came sooner though. Hint hint
