According to our good friends over at ThreeSpeech, a lucky few of us will be receiving a voucher code via email, much like PlayStation Home, to download the MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Demo.  Everyone else will get a chance to play the demo “next month”.  Good luck to all PlayStation LifeStyle readers.  Make sure you comment below to let us know if you got the email with your voucher…

ThreeSpeech:

Three Speech has just heard that a demo of hotly anticipated off-road racer, MotorStorm Pacific Rift (as if we need to explain what MSPR is to you guys…) will be made available to a lucky few next Thursday. Some of you lucky lucky people will be selected at random to receive an email with a voucher code allowing you to download the demo, with it being made available to everyone else next month.

We’re expecting more details on this next week so keep checking back. Sadly Three Speech can’t do anything to increase your chances of being chosen, but you know we would if we could…

    @Cdoeman420
    I thought COD5 beta was only for the PC and 360 I could be wrong. So were you talking about one of those or is the PS3 getting one also.

    As some of you may know, i’m from Barcelona, Spain, Europe. And i have to say i’m really disgusted with how Sony is administrating its online services lately.

    One of the points i like more ’bout my PS3 and the PSN (vs Xbox Live) is that it was equalitary. Now, we have a similar (not same) diferenciation between Quore subscribers (Gold members?), and the rest of the people (and also, here in Europe, we’re not even able to subscribe to it). I know we don’t pay for playing (and that’s the point why I haven’t still bought a X360, i don’t like feeling i’m robbed), but this segregation between “fisrt class” and “second class” people, who can try a demo fisrt or later is an error. It would make me feel i’m a second class user if I was American (my nephews are, God blees them, lol), and being European makes me feel i’m 3rd class user for Sony. I’ll be playing the demo about a month later, how would you feel in that situation? I mean, i can deal with the usual administrative delay of a week (yeah, there are exceptions, but not much) for any interesting content . But c’mon, if there’s a demo build, why acting microsoft-like, and giving preference to pay members, and not just release publicly to all the people? I think few people will subscribe to Quore just for a week-earlier demo, and in the other hand i.m.o. it can provoque a feeling like mine.

    Also, i would just like to mention that Spain, for those who don’t know, its maybe one of the most Sonyer countries worldwide. We even have more PS3’s than Wii’s installed. So it doesnt make any sense treating your better customers like 3rd class users. I really love my PS3, and I still think Sony gives the best service through PSN right know, but I hope this doesn’t increase by time, and, that as Kutaragi said once “All PS3 users are Gold users” (more or less) and it remains like this.

    Sorry for the boring comment, i just wanted to give voice to what lot of people thinks here.

    And also, i’ll be buying Motorstorm 2 from day one, I really enjoy the first one.

    @David
    Its cool BUT remember Qore is an ‘american’ initiative.
    Also you are mad at SCEE not SCEA, imagine my case, i live on Argentina (South America), so im outside of SCEE and SCEA .
    SCEE has a lot of troubles because europe has a lot of languages and each country has his own laws, its not an easy task to do stuff for every country.

    Remember : It can be worse.

  13. David Says:

    Hey Fersis! Saludos ché! cuidaremos al pive messi en el Barça ;)

    I know about the “european administrative delay” and as i said, i can deal with it. And i’m conscious that in SouthAmerica the situation is even worst, not blaming Sony.

    But, even suposing that i was american i would think that if they already have a demo build, why not publicly releasing it? It’s not a beta, a beta IS suposed to be limited and have a test proposal; we’re new at console Betas, but they have always been a “some very lucky people” thing on PC.

    So, if what we’re talking about is a demo, why this differential treatment?… as i said i liked Sony’s PSN policy to be free and equal that they stated from the beginning, and right now i feel a little disappointed. I just hope it doesn’t become usual.

  14. RJ Says:

    Here’s hoping, although pure is looking good, I want the variety from the storm.
