And you should learn to treat your readers a little more politely and not proffer amateur psychological advice when you don’t “get” a posting. I expect pejorative comments from other readers but as one of the principals of this site you need to hold yourself to a higher standard. (I really enjoy the site, by the way. Then, you should read something about satire (try Swift. “A Modest Proposal”) and learn that whimsy takes all kinds of forms, some of them darker than others.

Anyway I think LWP is a really cool idea – I stopped loggin into folding@home because it stopped my PS3 from doing other things.. now I can play tunes, browse some news and its a cool screen saver so no Burn-in on my Plasma – Sweet

Heck, I paid $500 for my PS3, so I feel just fine using anything it does whether or not it’s chained to some Stanford scientific project.

But I think it’s probably an Excellent Thing to start trying to make everyone feel guilty about everything they do if it isn’t green, helping the less fortunate, or low in calories. Are you sleeping or breathing when you could be out there saving the planet? Man, I think I’d start thinking seriously about that kind of irresponsible behavior. And how much energy are you wasting for future generations by allowing your heart to beat 60 or more times per minute? We’d better explore the possibility of getting that down to 20bpm, or stopping it altogether. THERE’S the real way to save the planet. No more human heartbeats. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
