I think that my favorite would have to be the mortal kombat series. MKII was the first fighting game I had ever seen and I think that it sparked my love for video games.

The King Of Fighters !!!
Best series ever. (Im not kidding)
Im a huuuuge SNK Fanboy , Samurai Shodown,Garou , Art Of Fighting, Last Blade ,amazing games.
I always loved SNK, their character design is faaaaar better than capcom, the music and story was always better than capcom .
Im soooooo hyped about Kof XII ,is my dream come true.
GO SNK GO GO GO !

Oh ,and come on LinuxGuru ,Ryu doesnt even compare with Kyo or Iori.

Huge MKII fan myself.
I was already into gaming, but MKII is the most money I ever put into one game.
It all started for me when I went to my local arcade looking to play Street Fighter II, and it was replaced with Mortal Kombat, I thought WTF is this?…
I played a few rounds, and Sub-Zero ripped my head of my shoulders for the first fatality I had ever seen. I was completely hook for that point on.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 may not be a classic to some, but it is amazing to me.
I use Ryu, Cable and Spider-Man.
Cable is often off the team though. Ryu and Spider-Man are mainstays.

There are so many, that I can’t name just 1.
In no particular order, my favourites are;
– Street Fighter 2 turbo
– Virtua Fighter 3
– MK II
– Tekken Tag
– Dark Stalkers.

Capcom Vs SNK 2 ,is awful ,SNK Vs Capcom is much much better.

SNK vs Capcom is considered by many as inferior due to lesser effects and stiffer animations.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike… They are a lost arts.
