3rd Party Home Support

Sony always said Home was about 2 things, getting gamers to mingle and allowing another interface for gamers and publishers/developers to interact. Up until now, we really didn’t know who had signed on to this idea. We do now:

Irem Software Engineering
Activision
Acquire
Atlus
Walt Disney Japan
AQ Interactive

SNK Playmore
Capcom
Gung Ho Online Entertainment
Q Entertainment
Game Republic
Genki
Koei
Konami Digital Entertainment
Spike
Sega
D3 Publisher
Tecmo
Nippon Ichi Software
Paon
Hudson
Bandai Namco
Ubisoft

Not a bad list. I do wonder where our dear friends at Square Enix are. I’m sure they will show up sometime or another.

  1. Is Q Entertainment related to Q Games?

I think SE is trying to send us ps3 gamers a message.

“we will stop supporting Sony, because we love the money MS is giving us”
    :)

Wouldn’t surprise me if they announce that FFvsXIII will be coming to Xbox360 at next year’s E3. Just to make a point.

Well Microsoft also has these problems

    1. Outdated hardware that’s pretty much at it’s limit already
    2. They charge PER disk when you make a game and only have a measely 10GB to deal with
    3. Their dev kids probably RROD as well
    4. No motion controls, so even if they WANTED to, they can’t (Some of them are nice and quite fun to screw around with)
    5. Unable to do HDD installs which hinders games in many ways
    6. Unable to provide the quality of support they want to ESPECIALLY since Microsoft is anal about free stuff. A lot of devs want to but they have to go through hoops. Example Braid for PC will have more content cause of Microsuck limitations.
    7. Less and less people are willing on paying for Xbox Live subscriptions which will mean less sales (due to not being able to do much multiplayer) and possibly less DLC as well. I think I read somewhere that only half of the Xbox Livers have Gold…

    etc…

A lot more companies are liking Sony more and more. 1 of the teams that worked with Epic Games LOVED how easy and how free it was to be able to develop Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars to the PSN and that’s why it’s not a Multi platform game.

    SNK is there yeeeeeah !
Oh my… i could dress my avatar as Iori !!!! aweeeeeeeeeeesome.
Iori > Street Fighter entire cast (Hi linuxguru :D )

  5. Crisen Maharaj says:

Miis look like a lot more fun and are a lot more original than this.

That’s a very good point, but it’s not 10 gigs, but 8! They make developers use that 2 gigs for unuseful data.

By the way, in the image it shows EA, but in the list it’s not appearing, what happened?
