Resistance: Retribution will be hitting PSPs in 2009 and it will be coming with some great new features. First, you will be able to use the “PSP Plus” feature. This allows you to use your Dualshock 3 while playing the game. Connect the PSP to the PS3 grab the controller and feel the rumble. A patent a while back gave away this type of functionality would be coming some day.

Resistance: Retribution will also be playing nice with its PS3 relative. When you connect your PSP to the PS3 with Resistance 2 in, you can enter an infected mode. This mode creates a different story and experience for the gamer. The major changes are the inclusion of the HE .44 Magnum and Grayson is infected with the same chimeran virus as Hale. A costume change is accompanied by the ability to breath underwater and to access secret areas in the game.

Already touted as a AAA, this game just makes me wish it would be out for the holidays. Oh well, patience is a virtue.

Great news. I will be getting both games so this is awesome, plus being able to use you DS3 is great news.

  2. The only sucky thing is that ‘PSP Plus’ will only be available on the 200x and 300x models as it also requires video out.

Regardless, I’m getting a 3000 anyway so I’m happy to see these being added. R2 and R:R are looking to be awesome together. :)

  3. I will be getting a PSP 3000 once the 4 GB pack is released in November. I’m giving my brother the 2000 that I have now. That way he enjoy all of the Resistance goodness too.

YA I already have a 2000 so this doesn’t bother me.

  5. I have the first PSP, but I wasn’t going to pick up R:R anyway. But if this starts a trend with PSP/PS3, then I guess I’ll eventually upgrade.

PSP 1000 should be compatable as well. The video shown in the top pic is from the PS3, not the PSP. Their is only a USB cable connected 2 PSP I dont see any PSP A/V cable in pic
