Hey folks you have a slight flaw in your expectations. PSP firmware v5.0 was dated for the 15th not PS3 firmware v2.50. I know that most would think that the update needs to be released when the SoCom bundle comes out and I thought that tooo. But I reminded myself that Sony could put the update on disc for the Headset for players that buy the SoCom bundle. And the rest of us could wait a week for the update for those that did not.

But tomorrow will tell.

Very nice. With the enhanced features of the PSP coming up, like playing ad-hoc online via PS3, and the addition of the store, this shows that the ps3/psp combo is only getting stronger.

I can’t believe that Nintendo was really that short sighted about the ability to use funds in both stores. It is ridiculous to force people to dedicate funds to each store independently. Oh well, that’s why I have a PSP and a PS3. Huzzah

They will probably have it up either tonight or tomorrow.If Socom headset support is a part of it,you would want it live before the game comes out.I like the part that you can share your wallet on PS3 or PSP.Good thinking.

Well if the firmware is giving official headset support to the PS3 this should be released today or early tomorrow since Socom is released tomorrow with the headset.

PS3 video skip – killer
I hope you can send PSP messages, too – probably not this time around.

I’d expect to see some new avatar options since they re-vamped the account management area.

SO pumped for this – we’ll keep you guys posted if we can get our hands on a FIRM release date.
