This type of thing was announced at E3. Jack Tretton said that you would be able to access your PSN account from a variety of platforms. The PSP has seen the arrival of PSN and now PlayStation.com is making a complete transfer over to the PSN side of the force. No longer will you log in with the old PSU log in, you have to use your PSN ID. I guess that means you all will be seeing a great deal more of GODSFAVORITE and less of Chris Rah Osiris on the PlayStation sites.

The change is not stopping with just your log in either. There will be expansions to your profile and a greater importance placed on community. PSLS is all about community and therefore we’re all for these changes. Do take note that the post mentions both Home and the eventual need to log into the Official Blog with your PSN ID as well.

I’m so excited. Aren’t you? If you are not excited, don’t ruin it for the rest of us elated PS fans.

Hmmm… I think someone said we would be logging into the PS.Blog with our PSN earlier last week. ;) Lucky guess, but it was well founded. :P
I’m really excited to see this. It always helps to have a single login rather than separate PSN, a PSU and a PS.Blug logins.

Finally they are doing this. I have so many logins it’s ridiculous haha. I can’t wait.

We’re going from the horror of the Konami style system… to the awesomeness that Sony should have been working on for a while. Glad they’re finally gettin it done. I would really love to know what’s going on in Sony right now. They make a bunch of progress and then silence for way too long.

Hope they’re not getting rid of the GAP entirely! I’ve been in that since 2006, and occasionally post there. Actually it’s the reason I’m now a contributor here! :D

  6. Chris Rah Osiris Says:

    Lol, Gap is staying.

  7. KnaveX Says:

it looks cool, they should really connect the PS3 and PC more, like letting you browse the PS3 store on PC, and let you start a download to the PS3 from the PC, turning your PS3 automatically. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! lol early?

I just tried to get on the forums and it said they were under maintenance! Looks like Sony is starting to change it up! Woot!

    Goodbye PSU, I’ll miss ya!
