Trophy Guide – Prince of Persia

12/15/2008 Written by Phoenix8387
Trophies for Prince of Persia.

Trophies for Prince of Persia.

The Prince of Persia series had its start way back in 1989 on the Apple II.  This title is a ‘reboot’ of the series and features a new Prince, new design, new mechanics, new characters and more of a focus on one-on-one combat.  It also Supports Trophies… but you already knew that didn’t you?

[Hidden] Master (Platinum): Unlock all trophies.
- Unlock all 50 additional Trophies.

[Hidden] Into the Storm… (Bronze):  Enter the Canyon.
- This is part of the Story.  You get it almost immediately after the opening cutscene.

[Hidden] Saved! (Bronze): Unlock Elika’s Saving Ability.
- This is part of the Story.  When you are in the Canyon this will happen automatically.

Wallrunner (Bronze): Completing the Canyon.
- This is part of the Story.  After a few fights, some running and some cutscenes you’ll come to the end of the Canyon.  You shouldn’t have any trouble making it there.

Compass (Bronze): Use the Compass.
- Part of the Story.  Select a destination on your map (Select) and return to the game, then press Triangle.

Heal the Land (Silver): First Healing.
- Heal your first Fertile Ground.

Saviour of the City of Light (Gold): Final Healing.
- Heal all 24 Fertile Grounds and kill all four of the Corrupted.

[Hidden] Now who’s the Hunter? (Bronze): Kill the Hunter in his Lair.
- After healing all four of the Fertile grounds in which you fight the Hunter, you be able to fight the Hunter one final time after going through the Black Gate.  Kill him and escape for the Trophy.

[Hidden] Death of a Warrior King (Bronze): Kill the Warrior in his Fortress.
- After healing all four of the Fertile grounds in which you fight theWarrior, you be able to fight the Hunter one final time after going through the Black Gate.  Kill him and escape for the Trophy.

[Hidden] Death of a Concubine (Bronze): Kill the Concubine in her Palace.
- After healing all four of the Fertile grounds in which you fight the Concubine, you be able to fight the Hunter one final time after going through the Black Gate.  Kill her and escape for the Trophy.

[Hidden] Traitor’s End (Bronze): Kill the Alchemist in his Observatory.
- After healing all four of the Fertile grounds in which you fight the Alchemist, you be able to fight the Hunter one final time after going through the Black Gate.  Kill him and escape for the Trophy.

[Hidden] From Darkness… Light! (Silver): Reimprison Ahriman.
- After defeating all four of the Corrupted, return to the Temple and enter it.  After a short area with the magic plates you’ll have to fight Elika’s father and then make your way around the inside of the temple while avoiding corruption and some punches thrown by Ahriman.  After healing a few spots inside the temple you’ll start plate-jumping around the inside of the temple and will eventually wind up inside of Ahriman.  Perform one more healing.

Explorer (Bronze): Explore every part of every region.
- You’ll get this after re-entering the Temple near the end of the game.  It’s rather Story related as you can’t not get it.

Block Master (Bronze): Block 50 attacks.
- You should get this throughout the game, just hold R2 to block 50 attacks.   If you are impatient to get it, just hold R2 and block 50 attacks in a single fight.

Deflect Master (Bronze): Deflect 20 attacks.
- You should get this throughout the game, hit R2 as an enemy is about to hit you and you will deflect the attack.  If you are rather impatient to get this, you could deflect 20 attacks in a single fight.

Sword Master (Bronze): Perform 14 hits in one combo.
- There is are three combos that can get you this Trophy.  It’s a simple combo but the most difficult part is completing it all without knocking the enemy off of the edge or into something.  For that reason most people prefer to do this during the first fight against the Concubine which takes place in a rather large open area.
- The combo is Square Square Square Triangle – Square Triangle X – Triangle Square Triangle Circle.  Then either X Triangle Square or X Square Triangle or X Square Circle.

Be gentle with her (Gold): Elika saves you fewer than 100 times in the whole game.
- This is probably one of the tougher Trophies in Prince of Persia.  You need to have Elika save you fewer than 100 times throughout the whole game.  It doesn’t sound too hard, but if you aren’t familiar with the levels they could add up quickly.  One tip is to play through a fertile ground and if you die too many times load the most recent save.  You’ll have a better knowledge of the coming fertile ground and should die fewer times.

Improviser (Bronze): Use the environment against an enemy.
- During various fights there will be pillers on the battle field.  You’ll get this Trophy if you knock the enemy into one of those pillers.  You should also get it if you knock an enemy off the edge of the fighting area.

Up against it (Bronze): Win a wall mini-game in combat.
- Either knock the enemy up against the wall or get thrown against one yourself.  You’ll have a [] button mashing event, win it.

Ruined Citadel Runner (Bronze): Run from the Sun Temple’s Fertile Ground to the Fertile Ground in Windmills in 5 minutes.
Vale Runner (Bronze): Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Construction Yards and Heaven’s Stair in 6 minutes.
Royal Palace Runner (Silver): Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Royal Gardens and Coronation Halls in 4 minutes.
City of Light Runner (Silver): Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Tower of Ahriman and City of Light in 7 minutes.
- All of these are rather simple to complete.  They are much easier to complete when all three lands you’ll need to pass are healed.  Teleport to the fertile ground and start making your way to the other, you’ll need to stand around at the finish for a bit before they will pop up.  Use some self made shortcuts if you know any and use the compass ability to pick the shorter of the routes.  The timing seems to have a fall or two built into them, so if you fall it’s not over.  You should have plenty of time to complete these without problem.  If you are finding these difficult, make sure you are following Elika’s compass direction as there is a slight difference in length betweenwhich path you take.  Also try a few dry runs if you need to.
- I believe you have to start at the first of the locations listed.  I earned all of these Trophies that way, and the one time I attempted a reverse run I did not earn the Trophy.  If anybody can dismiss this please leave a reply.

Warrior Special (Bronze): Dodge the Warrior’s attacks 20 times in one battle.
- You’ll need to dodge the Warrior’s attack 20 times in a single battle.  To dodge move in a direction and hit the Acrobatic (X) button.  The Warrior swings with its left hand, so if you roll to it’s left you can avoid the attack.  Rolling to its right or hopping backwards works too, but you have a much better chance of getting hit.  It’s easiest to do this during the first fight with the Warrior.

Hunter Special (Bronze): Deflect the Hunter’s attacks 5 times in one battle.
- Block the Hunter’s attacks 5 times in a single battle.  Fortunately the hunter attacks rather frequently and is fairly easy to block (R2 as an attack is about to hit you) if you have the timing.  It’s easiest to do this during the first fight with the Hunter.

Alchemist Special (Bronze): Defeat the Alchemist without using the acrobatic attack.
- When fighting the Alchemist, don’t use an X attack.  You can only use O, [] and Triangle attacks. It’s easiest to do this during the first fight with the Alchemist.

Concubine Special (Bronze): Defeat the Concubine without using grab.
- When fighting the Alchemist, don’t use an O attack.  You can only use X, [] and Triangle attacks. It’s easiest to do this during the first fight with the Concubine.

Light Seeds Finder (Bronze): Collect 100 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Collector (Bronze): Collect 200 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Provider (Bronze): Collect 300 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Locator (Bronze): Collect 400 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Harvester (Bronze): Collect 500 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Hoarder (Bronze): Collect 600 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Gatherer (Bronze): Collect 700 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Accumulator (Bronze): Collect 800 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Protector (Bronze): Collect 900 Light Seeds.
Light Seeds Master (Silver): Collect 1001 Light Seeds.
- There are a total of 1,000 Light Seeds spread throughout the Fertile Grounds and awarded after finishing off a Corrupted.  The final Light Seed is part of the story and is only gotten after you defeat Arhiman.  Use the map to locate the Light Seeds you have missed.  Be sure to check for a different magic plate in each area and also check the paths to other areas.  There tends to be a few decently hidden Light Seeds between most areas.

Speed Kill (Bronze): Kill 10 generic enemies before they spawn.
- When traveling between Fertile Grounds (at least one must not be Healed)  at around the half way there will be a black pool which will spawn an enemy.  If you are fast enough at reaching the area with the pool you can press [] to kill the enemy before it spawns.

Throw Master (Bronze): Throw 10 Soldiers of Ahriman into pits.
- To throw an enemy into a pit, force them to the edge of the battle ground and you will enter a mini-game like the wall mini-game.  Win the game and you’ll push the enemy into the pit.

Assassin View (Bronze): Find the Assassin’s view.
- Watch this Video.

Titanic view (Bronze): Find the Titanic View.
- Watch this Video.

In Harmony (Bronze): 500 coop jumps.
- A coop jump is when you jump and press Triangle to have Elika give you an extra boost.  You might get this throughout the game, but if you want to get it quickly go to the Temple and coop jump around the area until you get it.

Precious Time (Bronze): Take one minute to think.
- At a certain point near the end of the game you will be holding Elika in your arms.  Wait a minute without pushing any buttons.

Where’s that Temple? (Bronze): Talk to Elika.
- Press L2 to talk to Elika.

Getting to Know You (Bronze): Get to know Elika by talking to her.
- After getting the above, keep pressing L2 to talk to Elika.  New conversations will usually appear after cutscenes and when entering a new Fertile Ground.

Good Company (Bronze): Learn about the world, and Elika’s history.
- After getting the above, keep pressing L2 to talk to Elika.  New conversations will usually appear after cutscenes and when entering a new Fertile Ground.  If you speak to her every chance you get, you should get this before killing your first Corrupted, so there is plenty of opportunity to get this.

Climbing to New Heights (Bronze): Find the highest point in the world.
- You’ll get this when fighting the Alchemist the final time.

Sinking to New Depths! (Bronze): Find the lowest point in the world.
- Looking at the temple, run around the back to the left.  About half way to the back you’ll see a tunnel gound underneath the Temple, go into this tunnel and to the end.  (Video)

Speed Demon (Bronze): Finish the game in under 12 hours.
- This is really not all that hard.  I got all the talking to Elika, Corrupted Specials and around 600 Light Seeds and still beat the game in rought 11 hours.  If you’re even halfway decent at Prince of Persia games this shouldn’t be a problem.
- On a second playthrough you really begin to realize how easy this game is.  I actually took my time and got all 1000 Light Seeds and completed the game and even spent an hour dedicated to a single fight for the Combo Specialist Trophy and finished the game in 11:30 hours.

To be continued… (Gold): The End.
- Part of the Story.  Finish the game.

Combo Specialist (Bronze): Find every combo in the game.
- You need to complete every combo in the game.  You can find a list of all combos in the pause menu under options.  I suggest making a list and marking the move off after completing it.  Some of the moves can only be done after doing another type of move.  You don’t have to do every possible combination, just do each attack atleast once.  When you are viewing the Combo List hit Triangle to view the combo flow chart to view how they can be linked.  The most annoying part of this Trophy is that you must actually finish the combo naturally.  Meaning if you smash the enemy into a wall, off the stage or into some corruption the combos will not count.  The Trophy will pop up after you defeat the enemy that you used your final combo on.
-  Later in the game enemies will start to regenerate health.  If you come to a Corrupted (Will not work with the Warrior) that you have to fight in a large area and they have unlocked the regeneration ability you can extend the fight to let them heal and complete every combo in that single fight.  This can be done against Elika’s Father near the end of the game.

Thinking of getting this game, never played the old ones, whats the general consensus about this game? Buy or Rent or Pass? thanks for the info!

  2. Mike says:

Good guide. You should however warn people about the save file. Unlike all other games, overwriting a save file will not overwrite the infos but actually accumulate them. So for example if you completed your first walkthrough in 14 hours, and wish to start it again for the SPEED DEMON trophy, you will have to use a brand new save file to achieve it. If you don’t do so and use your same save file, you will end up with some 25 hours gameplay..ubisoft messed up.

  3. @ Trapper02
I personally think it’s a GREAT game. And it’s good for PoP newcomers as it’s kind of a new series. There are some throwbacks to the older games but it won’t ruin anything if you don’t get them. The art style is unique and the ‘anytime conversations’ mechanic really does great with the story. That being said, the game is extremely easy and short. It’s definitely worth a rent, not so much sure about a purchase as you’ll likely be done with the game in a single weekend.

    @ Mike
Not sure what you’re referring to, as I overwrote my save file on my second playthrough and I’m still at 11:24. Otherwise I would be around 22:50.

How about the 10 new trophies for the Epilogue?!
And how to get the Combo Specialist?!

Where’re they?! So far I haven’t found them listed anywhere on the ‘net… So I’m going to copy what’s written for each of the trophies as the description in the PS3 menu and what’s needed to get the Combo Specialst trophy.

I’ve listed them all (including the hidden ones) at the bottom here.

I’ve also typed out a list of all the combos – in a logical order – that you can follow to help get the Combo Specialist trophy, which you’ll find after the Trophy List for the Epilogue.

It’s so good that Ubisoft have updated the game, giving us a resolution to the unfinished storyline, and given us yet another few reasons to play through this great game.
Including the extra skins, especially Altair’s Rags from Assassin’s Creed (Anyone know when the second one is due for launch? I hope it’s at the game shows this or next year. It should be awesome!)

I think you can still get the platinum PoP Trophy by getting all the trophies from the main game, before update v1.1 is installed, but that’s just speculation – I’m not entirely sure.
There’s no way of deleting the trophy list, as its stored online, and I’m not about to start up another profile to find out.

Either way, the Epilogue is fairly short – you can complete it in around 60 minutes if you really cane it through – but you miss out on so much if you don’t stop and smell the corruption along the path of Prince of Persia.
8==D — Maybe someone can let us know if, as in Burnout with the Party and Legendary Cars packs and Mirror’s Edge with the Pure Time Trials (which is fecking well good. Loads of replay value!), you can still get the platinum before unlocking 100% of the trophies outside of the Epilogue..?

I’ve played Prince of Persia ever since I copied my mate’s 3 1/4″ floppy disc and installed it on my 286 PC back in the good old days.
This incarnation is, in my opinion, the best looking. If a little like a Disney game such as Tarzan or something.

Even though its fairly easy compared to the original or Sands of Time, I was still getting stuck on several of the light seeds for a while. But I was disappointed by the lack of decent fights.
The Epilogue sorts out the balance between Light Seeds and kicking arse. By sticking loads of it in.

It’s worthwhile to have a few of the 10 saved games free for the Epilogue… One at the end of the main story, to easily get back to the fighting, and a few to help you on your way to the Under 2 Hours and Die Less than 20 Times trophies.
Though, being pretty short and absorbing, I don’t mind playing this part over and over.

    It’s fun!

Here are all the ones I’ve found while playing through the Epilogue of Prince of Persia:

    - All the Frescos.
Reach all Ormazd’s Frescos in the Epilogue.

    - A Fresco of Light.
Reach one Ormazd’s Fresco in the Epilogue.

    - Born Dead (Silver).
Kill all the soldiers of the Epilogue before they spawn.

    - Bouncing From Here to There.
Complete the puzzle with rebound in the Epilogue.

    - Leaving the Storm.
    Complete the Epilogue.

    - The Best Offence is Good Defence.
Defeat any enemy of the Epilogue by only starting a combo with a Deflect and Counter-Attack (Timing!).

    - Change Once, Then Die.
Defeat the Shapeshifter with only one shape change.

    - What Once Was There (Hidden).
First use of Energise in the Epilogue.

    - I Only Need A Hand Or Twenty (Hidden).
Elika saves you fewer than twenty times in the whole Epilogue.

    - No Time To Waste (Hidden).
Complete the Epilogue in less than 2 hours.

    That’s the lot!
It takes nearly 10 minutes to get them all, if you land every combo first time.

I reckon this is probably one of the harder ones to achieve – Unless you have a list!
I’ve given a few tips on how to get this, without too much fuss and throwing of the sixaxis controller at the wall, below.

This was the last one I managed to get before the Platinum. I think it’d take you a very long time to ensure that you’ve performed every possible combination of, erm… combos if you didn’t make, or follow, a list.

I know it took me four play-throughs before I decided to make a list of all the possible combos. I don’t know how many I’m missing, but I got it.

I went through every single combo, using the extensions I’ve *starred* above.
I don’t know if you need to do this, or just tap out the 60 odd combos I’ve typed for you above.

8==D — It’d be good if someone can post whether or not you need to do every single possible conjugation of combos to perform..?

It’s frustrating, as you have to ensure that every combo lands every blow. No hitting the wall or anything like that.
Otherwise you have to remember which one just failed and do it again.
I found it easiest to land all the combos with The Hunter and The Concubine.

It’s best to do this quite early in the game – the first time you meet the bosses.
You can’t get this trophy fighting The King as it’s not a normal fight.
The Corrupted are just too weak and die if you get them against a wall or the edge.

If you’ve landed a massive 14 hit combo and it nearly kills them (the 14 hit one does most in for the first boss fights and always flattens the Corrupted), it’s easy enough to get beaten a few times so that their health comes back.
If their health drops below 50%, however, they’ll only regenerate up to that point…

Saving the game at the very beginning of the fight means that you can reload if they die to carry on and, after getting this trophy, you can reload to kill them quickly and still be on track for “Be Gentle With Her” and “Speed Daemon”.

If you still need some help with any trophies, leave a comment and I’ll reply or you can add me on PSN.

    Have fun guys!

    The_Saccade.

  10. The Saccade says:

    Oh yeah…

Like Mike says, it’s a good idea to start a new saved game at the beginning of the Epilogue to make sure you get the “Under 2 Hours” Trophy.

It’s not exactly a major pain, as its only 2 hours playtime and not 12 like the main game, and I don’t know if Ubisoft have fixed the overwrite bug in the latest PoP v1.1 patch…

But its better safe than sorry most of the time.

I’m so pleased! Now I can add “Has 100% trophies for several PS3 games” to my CV!

That’ll definitely give me an advantage in my professional career over the others..!
People don’t realise just how much employers value the fact that someone is a video game addict when looking for prospective employees. Plus, in this economic climate of insecurity and the highest unemployment rate for years, you need to be on the cutting edge of spending time tapping buttons in front of a glowing screen at 4am on a Monday.

  11. The Saccade says:

    One last thing I forgot!

If you need a hint on how to get the last, elusive Light Seeds – just ask here or through the PSN and I’ll help as best I can.

You can also get these skins, which use the same animation engine, to really complete the game 100%.

Sands of Time Prince and Farrah (check out her white cotton undies. Oh yeah! When you’re single, or even if you’ve got a nice 21 year old girlfriend, it’s still okay for a bit of computer game character titillation!):

Enter the code “525858542″ in “Skins Manager” under “Extras”.
This is the Pre-Order code that you would’ve got if you were sad like me and reserved a copy of the game.

Elika’s “Jade” from Beyond Good And Evil Skin:
Finish the game once then activate it in “Skins Manager” under “Extras”.

    Altair’s Rags from Assassin’s Creed:
Simply register the game by synching your Ubisoft account with you PSN account or Xbox Live account if you’ve got a naff old Xbox. (the link goes to Ubisoft signup page if you haven’t got a Ubisoft account).

Classic Prince from the old PC game:
Apparently you get this from having pre-ordered the game from GameStop.
    I don’t have a Gamestop, just a Game, so I don’t have this!

8==D — If anyone has the code for this skin, will they share it with me for giving you all the new trophies, the combo list and also the other hidden trophies which aren’t included in Phoenix’s guide? Pleeeease!

    Prototype Prince and Elika Skins:
Get it by collecting all 1,001 Light Seeds (ask if you need a few hints!).
Some people reckon that you can only get this in the PC version, but that’s not true… I was awarded them on PS3 after I finished the game as a Light Seed Master.

And, as promised, here are the Hidden Trophies for the main game:

(You probably have all of them, if you’ve finished the game and have appreciated it fully).

    Into the Storm…
    Enter the Canyon.

    Saved!
    Unlock Elika’s Saving Ability.

    Now who’s the Hunter?
Kill the Hunter in his Lair.

    Death of a Warrior King.
Kill the Warrior in his Fortress.

    Death of a Concubine.
Kill the Concubine in her Palace.

    Traitor’s End.
Kill the Alchemist in his Observatory.

    From Darkness… Light!
    Reimprison Ahriman.

    To be continued…
The End. (Of the main quest and before the start of the Epilogue).

    I think that’s all!

    Gutted…

You guys aren’t going to get the Epilogue unless you buy it from the PlayStation Store on Wednesday…

If you want it before, I’ve got it on a USB flash-drive. I can email it.

  13. DGR8Mc187 says:

heard this was the easiest game to get your platinum on.

  14. i’ll be using this guide to platinum this, looks like a useful guide

  15. GunaK says:

This game’s trophies are so easy.

  16. For the Combo Specialist Trophy do I need to do all the combos in the list in the same battle? As I have now completed the combo list following instructions in the guide above twice and still do not have the trophy!

  17. cold_shoot3r_95 says:

defenetly a buy, plus trophies giv it replay value so do not pass this game buy it right away!
