You just may be paying them a visit
This is not news to many. The real news is that the demo will not be available until after the game is released. Gamestop will have a demo for those that pre-order the title. I pre-ordered from Amazon and will be forced to wait for the game to be released before I get another taste of the amazing title. Demo lovers should rush to the nearest Gamestop if they would like to try out what Killzone 2 has for all of us.

I actually just got mine today. You cannot use the code they give you until Feb 5th.
To clarify, it’s not actually a demo you get from Gamestop, it’s a voucher with a code. You enter the code after the 5th of Feb, to download the demo from the PS store.

i did the multi beta test. This is a must buy game. Screw Gamestop, a demo?!?. Amazon and Best Buy are the way to go if you’re ordering this game. The Home clothes from Amazon are a pretty cool idea. I’m hoping more games will follow suit with Home bonus’.

Chris,
You could preorder from both places and only purchase from 1.

Since the game comes out on the 17th (or is the 19th?) I’ll wait another 2 weeks or so to get my hands on the real thing.
The Killzone clothes sound cool but honestly I’d rather have more clothing options overall. My guess is that there will be dozens of people running around in Killzone 2 garb, which isn’t really standing out.
Sony needs to make the clothing options more varied than they are now but I’m sure that’s coming.
Regarding the demo, if it was available in the next week or so then yeah, I could see doing the pre-order thing but with only 2 weeks before the game comes out I don’t really see the value. I have enough games to keep me busy for 2 weeks (along with life, work and school) that I’ll plenty to do between the demo’s release and the actual game’s release.

@all
Don’t know if yall knew but you can put 5 down as a deposit toward kz2 and get the code, then return to gamestop and cancel the preorder. Just tell them you didn’t like the demo and they will issue you a refund on the deposit, while you get to keep the kz2 demo. That’s what I did for the socom beta that gamestop gave away.

I pre-ordered the game, and really, I don’t care about the demo. I don’t get why the demo gets released early to the people that pre-order it, you know, the ones that already decided to buy it! It’s stupid!
And for what I’ve read here, the demo for the pre-orders will be available in Feb 5? The game is coming in the 27th!! WTF?!? So I get to play the demo for a few days before I get the game that I already decided to buy? Again, it’s stupid and ridiculous!

After being in the Beta… I don’t need no stinkin demo to tell me if the game is worth it.
Starting now (since the OPM review is out), I’m in KZ2 blackout mode.

I only needed PSNation.org’s episode Killzowns to convince me. After an hour of an interview with tons of great information and hype building, and how much the Glenn from the Playstation nation Podcast gushed over it and wouldn’t play Resistance 2 (which he loved) because of the beta… well… Amazonz I be commin’
I recommend Amazon over gamestop. 3 reasons.
1. Qore subscriber I might get the Demo anyway
2. You know you’re going to want to play the game and the demo won’t give you any stats, trophies, benefits, and no one will know you preordered it after wards.
3. If the demo isn’t done right or isn’t a recent enough build it could turn you away from a game you’d otherwise really love and enjoy.
Not to mention the benefit of Home clothes (even if you don’t like Home that much) is that you’d have a long lasting proof that you preordered, PLUS if you walk around in the gear people will know you own the game, (and if game launching works for the title) that will make getting into matches that much easier since people will just see the outfit and know they can play with you.
To me the Amazon Preorder is just full of win. Gamestop preorder is possibly full of fail, and the Best Buy preorder is full of “meh”

why not just put it on the ps3 for everybody. Ie people outside of US…

I think they should release a demo within the next two weeks on a psn update. Why would they give away a demo to the people who already decided theyre going to buy it?
They should aim for the ps store which will surely help advertise the game also……………………….
