Valkyria Chronicles DLC for LBP?

Upcoming DLC or great fake? You be the judge.
No official word from Media Molecule or Sony, but this looks like pretty professional artwork. Could this be signs of the DLC to come once the regular LBP PSN updates resume on January 22? What do you guys think?
UPDATE: Coincidentally, SEGA has updated their blog with information on upcoming Valkyria Chronicles DLC: “Soon we’ll be announcing a date for the first batch of Valkyria Chronicles downloadable content…”
It would make sense for the costumes to hit LBP in conjunction with the new DLC pack for SEGA’s game to boost sales.

Maybe its true but i don’t think it would be released on 22nd of January. Maybe in middle of February or beggining of March

There is no way on earth that the image is an official render. Anyone who knows how to use photoshop will be able to see the tell-tale signs. Not to mention the hand-drawn appearance of the costume itself.
It would be pretty neat if there was VC DLC for LBP, but this certainly isn’t one of the actual in-game costumes.

I hope VC gets a Trophy update to go along with the DLC… I would love to pick up the game.

haha trophies are a pre-requisite now for Phoenix.
Yeah I wonder since new games are rumored to require trophies after January 2009, if they’ll force trophies onto new DLC add-ons like this one for VC soon as well.
Also, tonynibbles, you may be onto something – checking into the hair assets to see if they used some other available hair and then painted the costume – but it was too coincidental not to post on the site.

The Valkryia DLC might possibly be what Japan got early.There was a post about it on the official blog a few months ago. Harder Skirmish I believe..

Hm… I do agree with what many have said about the clothing looking too detailed and not fitting in with LBP’s art style. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
It’d be nice to hear something from Sony or Media Molecule. Even a non-denial but we probably won’t get one.

Japan actually received three pieces of DLC… The Edy pack and Hard Ex mode were first.. The Selvaria pack was last

Edie pack came out 4 months after JPN release, so that would mean Feb/March if they stick to the same schedule for USA.

The more I think about it, the more it seems possible. To coincide with US DLC soon and the Japanese “The Best” release in March for a second push of the game in both regions
