TSA has discovered some more details. It looks like home is going to be really shaping up into the service we were looking for and much more.  It looks like they have something special cooking up for Valentines day.

  • A proverbial boatload of game spaces – including spaces for Warhawk, SOCOM, Resistance, and many, many more (we’ll announce more spaces in the coming weeks)…
  • Of course, you’re all aware of the EA Sports Complex. But let’s just say that is coming sooner rather than later. And it’s cooler than you imagined.
  • These spaces will usher in the next phase of Home. They will begin to utilize this uber-powerful platform’s true capabilities. We’re talking unlocking items in the games you play from Home (and vice versa), mini-games that take full advantage of the Sixaxis controller, game launching integration. The whole shebang!
  • We also have leaderboards. Huzzah!
  • You can also count on tons of apartments and clubhouses that boast increasingly interactive environments. These spaces are freakin’ awesome. You’re going to love ‘em.
  • Picture frames are coming back. We’re not giving a solid date at this time, but suffice to say you will have them very, very soon.
  • You’ll have more music, more regularly. And, yes, there will be all different styles (this means that all of you rockers can rejoice!)
  • You’ll have a bigger Theater, and it will be full of videos (and not just trailers either).
  • You’ll be able to customize your avatar with more gear – and this stuff is hot. Oh, and there are tons of options for the girls as well. We’re not forgetting about you.
  • And, to top it all off, we’re gonna be throwing tons of parties, contests, and other events in Home (including a special event to coincide with Valentine’s Day. It’s going to be a killer event). The prizes will be bigger and better than ever before. If you haven’t participated in anything we’ve done before, we’re sure you will now.

they better deliver on this stuff like they say they are, have have if work and be fun.

if they do, it will be awesome

if they don’t, I will never go in home again.

I’m going to laugh when this gets delayed to Valentine’s day 2012

  3. Ves says:

Nice, but my prio is the game launching. Have that working and I will have Home on more often.

AWESOME!!! LOOK AT ALL THE FEATURES THAT THEY’RE ADDING FOR THe 3 GAmes that suuuupooorrt….. ohhh…. ya… um… Please work with developers to get game launching support Sony…

We need LBP, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, RE 5/BH 5, and hopefully even like Rock Band 2 (so you can organize a decent band)

If they have to use some of the money they made from us buying clothes and clubs (millions) then so be it. Pay them for some development costs, get some programmers there to help them, ask them if Home devs can patch it in themselves… SOMETHING PLEASE! I’ll buy more clothes if I see the money going to good use. Microsoft charges 30-50 dollars a year minimum (depending on if you get Live Gold Cards on sale) I’m fine with using the money they aren’t getting from me on Home instead for a better gaming experience.

  5. I could see the Home EA Sports Complex coming out today to celebrate NHL 3 on 3!

What I think Home needs, is something to cater to the more hardcore gamers that use their systems. – Work with game manufacturers and other IP’s to make APARTMENTS that are themed towards them ;)

I know I’d buy a Helgast themed [war-torn/ruined] apartment and furniture (like gun racks/ammo crates). Or if they could buy the IP for cheap enough, why not go REALLY nerdy and have a Star Trek bridge themed apartment, complete with viewfinder?

If Sony go crazy enough with home, then I think it’ll blow up (in a good way). I like it as is, and where I can see it going, but I just feel… Why bother buying things that are “just like real life” stuff.

This update certainly seems to be shifting in the right direction! Hazzah for progress!

Finally! Home was getting in view for getting deleted! Anyway, I want to see that Resistance space.

hopfully these *new spaces* will actually have SOMETHING to do in them unlike the Far Cry 2 where there is one game and a glitch.
Actually there is an interactive map and some character briefings in there but seriously how long will that keep people amused, im guessing not a long time I’d say 5 minutes?
seeing how Europe doesent have Liste@Home i guess the more music doesn;t really apply to us, the theatr probably apply’s to us because ours is tiny and when you go watch a trailer you have to sit down and can’t walk around.
But anyway…. This Patch sounds AMAZING and whats coming after the patch sounds even better i.e. Picture frames, this is definatly a step in the right direction for Home and hopefully it will stop people from complaining about it for at least a day.
BTW in this post i was not complaining i was simply having a disscussion with basically myself about which aspects of this update will be valid to us Europeans. ;)

What about stuff to upgrade the clubhouses and houses like tvs, tables or stereos I mean give me something to do in the clubhouses beside just sitting there talking and doing nothing. We need upgrades for the clubhouse defenitely
