PlayStation Home Gamer’s Lounge Meeting

Locust_Star has confirmed that there will be an in-Home virtual meeting. CydoniaX and Locust_Star are looking to gather feedback and will answer some questions. The meeting takes place Thursday, February 12th, 2009 from 1-2PM PT (4-5PM EST) and 5-6PM PT (8-9PM EST). More below.
What: A virtual chat with CydoniaX and Locust_Star, focusing on gathering community requests/feedback and answering some choice frequently asked questions.
Where: Gamer’s Lounge
Why: Because the Gamer’s Lounge isn’t just a place to conduct business-as-usual, its a gathering spot for users to discuss teh direction of Home, with everyone from Community Management to 1st and 3rd Party Developers and so on.
When: Thursday, February 12th, 2009 from 1-2PM PT (4-5PM EST) and 5-6PM PT (8-9PM EST)
Note: We will be instance jumping during this event, so if we’re not there when you show up, hang tight with your friends and we’ll be around as soon as we can.

It’s a new space evidently.
The Gamer’s Lounge is the new name for the Cafe that they are brining over from I think the Japanese, or European versions of HOME.
They had a contest a little over a week ago to name it, and their were a few thousand names.
The 1st one they picked as the winner, was called “Sixth Axis”
Out of 1000+ names, they chose THAT as THEE best name for the cafe.
Needless to say, MANY were NOT happy because honestly, that name sucks. They found out later on that over in Europe, there is a web site or something, called Sixth Axis, so they couldn’t use that name (thankfully)
So they picked the “alterante” BEST name for the Cafe, the Gamer’s Lounge.. which I still think is horrible. The contest was to come up with a name “that’s CREATIVE”, and sorry but since were all gamers, calling it the gamers lounge is a crock.
Now of course I LOVED my name that I came up with lol..
I said “Avatar’s”
Yes we are ALL avatars, but each person is unique as is everyone’s avatar. And even saying the name, Avatar’s, brings images to your mind, or a lot of people in one spot.

So tomorrow, well later tonight they are doing maintenance to HOME, so it will be shut down from around 12am PST to Maybe 2am PST.
That’s when their supposed to add in the Cafe, the ninja costumes we can buy in the mall for our Ninja party tomorrow night lol..
HOME = FAIL
FAIL = FAIL
Time to come up with something new.
I agree with TheMadGreek.
Just because Home is not something you’re interested in doesn’t mean it has no appeal to others. 90% of console games don’t appeal to me but you don’t hear me knocking what other people like. In other words, don’t act like a spoiled child, show some respect, post on-topic or don’t bother posting.
