Star Trek Goes Blu

A new Star Trek is coming to theaters this year. Coinciding with the release is the release of the 1st 6 Star Trek films on Blu-Ray. The movies will feature special features, 7.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtracks, and 1080p picture, obviously. Paramount is definitely doing its best to make up for lost time on the format. The films will be the original theatrical releases. Trekkies rejoice, May 12 is the day you can get your Star Trek movies in HD.

okay i am a mayjor trekkie, I cant wait for the new movies to come out on blu-ray, let alone the remastered sereies which is probably comming around the same time. the new star trek movie looks awesome though!

I started my trekkieness with the TNG so I never saw any of the original movies. I was planning on watching them on DVD but hell might as well wait it out for the HD versions.
