PSP FW Update 5.05 on UMD?

We just got an anonymous tip saying that their copy of Idol Master SP on UMD has firmware 5.05 on it. This actually makes sense, as it most likely allows the PSP to unlock “rewards” for PlayStation Home, as we had earlier reported.
We don’t actually have the UMD ourselves so we cannot confirm, however we expect this to be true. The question is… Will this firmware update be released via system update? Also, PSP firmware updates usually go hand in hand with PS3 firmware updates. Will we be getting a PS3 firmware update as well?

Not sure the two are related… some discs feature intermediate firmware – for instance, Ratchet & Clank featured PS3 firmware that was never released. It was a step release that came out between two major PS3 firmware releases.
Just saying, would assume new firmware is 100% linked to home unlockables.

well I got the game it dose have somthing new in it but its in jap so i dont know and my luck my psp gets bricked (dont ask) so I cant tell you much
