SingStar released in North America on May 20th, 2008 with wired microphones, and quite honestly, it’s a pain in the ass being tethered to your PS3 while trying to get down on some Karaoke with your friends. All that will be changed in the near future with SingStar Wireless mics.

Can’t wait, my kids are always accidentally unplugging the mics in the middle of songs. Now all they need is trophy integration and some decent songs added to the singstore. My next purchase will be Singstar Queen though.
Do we know yet about other compatibility with Rockstar or GH? That would be another great benefit.
No word on that yet.

Also – they have a patch to allow voice control for song selection!
