Remember the Oblivion DLC for PS3 fiasco? The promised DLC turned out to be some horse armor. Well, it appears that Bethesda doesn’t think highly of PlayStation fans because all of the Fallout 3 DLC is going to be Xbox 360 and PC exclusive. No reason was given for these actions, perhaps someone made them an offer they can’t refuse. It’s a shame that some console makers seem to think paying third party companies not to make games and DLC for PS3 is a better strategy then creating your own quality first party games.

why would u do that to all ps3 owners!! that sucks.
Microsoft is doing to gaming market what they did to the PC market.
Just buying the shit out of the competition.
Luckily Sony has great 1st party support.
I’m *hoping* that it will just be a timed exclusive that they just can’t comment on right now. But yeah, majorly lame. I really enjoyed Fallout 3. Consumers are the real fatalities of the console wars.
Honestly this isn’t the Console Wars, this is MS just cranking up it’s money machine and whipping it out and saying, WHO IS BIGGER.
Eff MS.
I heard about this awhile ago so this doesn’t surprise me at all. Fallout 3 is a great game but with Killzone 2 coming on Friday, well…I could honestly care less abt DLC for Fallout atm lol.

I CAN NOT agree with you more. Its a shame that Xbots are so nieve too. hmm. Honestly I could careless about Fallout DLC. I own the game too. Its all about what first party titles for me. Theres about a million on PS3 vs GoW2 and Halo3 on 360. PS3 ftw!
This is retarded and espically stupid on the developers part. I mean they could make MORE money if they released the DLC to all the consoles out there, but they wont.
I’m sick of dev’s doing this, there should be rules against this.
I was a huge Fallout fan from its original on PC. I was happy to hear about 3 and really enjoyed it when it came out, but F* Bethesda if that’s the way they do business. You guys do have a good point though, there are so many great 1st party games coming out this year that i could care less about the DLC for F3.
Also, if i recall the expansion to Oblivion wasn’t just horse armor, it was the Shivering Isles. The Original PS3 port of Oblivion also contained the Knights of the Nine quests which Xbox’ers paid for as DLC if i recall.
If this had come out 4 months ago, I might have been a little pissed that the PS3 was being snubbed. But with Killzone 2 coming out in TWO DAYS, I could care less about what the Xbots are playing.
Because they aren’t playing Killzone 2, that’s for sure.
What a kick in the balls!!!
They could have at least removed being able to see the XP level of 21 on the PS3 if it wasn’t ever going to be possible to get to level 21!!!!
screw microsoft and their backwards business ideas. and screw bathesda for shafting themselves and ps3 owners by making whatever backwards deal they made.
exclusive DLC should be illegal…..write your congressman
Fine by me. I’ll remember this the next time they make a game.
MTV Multiplayer confirmed this a while ago. I was disappointed but I will see what they will do with their next console game.
And to think I was supporting a hometown developer… Fuck You Bethesda! No more buying their games for me and as soon as I complete Fallout 3/ and to think I put my game on pause waiting for DLC no game ending. I am trading that game in to Gamefly.
Did no-one else think Fallout 3 itself was big enough? I got bored playing through a second time, not because of the story because there are plenty of different avenues there, but more because of the gameplay mechanic itself. The expansion packs don’t change that very much so I couldn’t care less.

Because Bethesda doesn’t like the PS3. Isn’t that obvious?
This is why I didn’t buy Fallout 3 for the PS3 and have debated on whether or not I will. I’m considering only buying it for PC, or maybe skipping it all together (except maybe a rent or buy it used somewhere down the line for cheap)
I’ve been very annoyed by Bethesda and their lack of PS3 support.
Consumers benefit in many respects thanks to the console wars. Things like Home, and the NXE may not have appeared if not for the console wars. Maybe Sony’s first party companies wouldn’t have appeared if there were no console wars as well.
Ya but on PS3 we got the game like a year late and they didn’t seem to do any bug patches, and we missed out on some minor DLC.
I really don’t think the Fallout 3 stuff is TOO important since its like 4 hours or so of stuff… Isn’t there enough in the game already without paying 10 dollars for 4 more hours? Seems kinda minor.
The PC version is getting a level editor and stuff. I’m considering getting Fallout 3 on a buy 2 get 1 free used game sale… as my freebie
No don’t do that cause Micro money has more moolah to lobby congress and our congressmen respond to money… not justice.
Next time they make a game? I remember it now.
I’ll be repurchasing Burnout Paradise on the PS3 through the PSN store and buying cars and stuff to support Criterion but for Bethesda? Well… read above comments.
The only way that I’d try to give Bethesda any more of my money at this point is if they went and just added trophies to Oblivion. THEN maybe I’ll consider buying Fallout 3 not used.
