mLani Studios, Inc (mLani) today announced the completion and impending spring 2009 release of its new wireless PS3 controller, the MoBi.

The patented split-grip mLani MoBi is compatible with all games, and features a completely customizable PS3 controller button set. With a right-hand mouse for targeting prey and a left-hand grip for full motion control, the MoBi is the most advanced controller in the world. Complete programmability, digital sniper buttons and upgradeable firmware provide unprecedented levels of customization. The MoBi is also a full featured wireless PC gaming mouse with extra buttons and left hand control for WASD, making it the world’s first universal cross-platform FPS tool for PS3 and PC gaming. The MoBi is the ultimate console controller while also offering an ideal PC first-person shooter experience.

mLani listened to what gamers wanted in terms of style, grace and customization, and created a controller that is fully customizable and ideal for both console and PC gaming. Each button is configurable, and the MoBi’s digital R1 and R2 make it the most accurate targeting system available–no more squishy button presses! The 2000 DPI, 500Hz refresh rate low-lag laser mouse exceeds the standards of the PS3′s abilities and meets all high-end PC mouse needs. The included PC software allows users to adjust or reprogram any button to the exact feel they expect from a high-end controller.

“We are pleased we were able to embed our high-quality standards into a product that not only maximizes a gamer’s experience but actually improves the gamer’s score over traditional PS3 solid controllers,” said Mr. Tetterington of mLani. “Re-sellers, licensors and retailers are encouraged to contact us quickly, as demand is expected to exceed all previous third-party controller sales. Retail meetings are now underway for the scheduled roll-out in the third week of May.”

I’m willing to pay $99.99 for this device and not a penny more.

  2. Darth_Xehanort says:

I wouldn’t spend very much money on this, and it will probably be quite expensive.

  3. Trexman says:

If a were still a PC gamer, i would definitly buy this because it would be great to have keyboard and mouse controls on my PS3

  4. LBPaddict says:

Can someone explain to me what is so cool about this? I’m not into all this new controller stuff, so I don’t know much. Thanks! :)

This should be very useful for the upcoming Command & Conquer title for us 3′ers. I just hope it isn’t retardedly overpriced.

If they were listening to the smart half of the PS3 user market this will be about the price of a PS3 controller. If they were listening to the dipstick half, then they’re anywhere from 100-200 dollars for this mouse.

I haven’t heard many good things about the Frag FX but.. hopefully this 1 will truly allow me to use mouse support on the PS3. Quite frankly, I would have to do a room layout change in order to accompany this product, btu I am so willing to. I’ve been wanting mouse support for so long (just not wanting to play Unreal Tournament 3)

im not a big shooter fan but it seams kinda helpful.. with my layout i sit on a sofa or computer chair in front of the TV. from the look of it, id need some kind of base support

  8. DGR8Mc187 says:

Looks to be cool but it all depends on the price and available features.

  9. Traxxer911 says:

As far as I know (I don’t know much), there currently isn’t any mouse support for games. This would change that.

  10. I don’t know about you, but this looks like a major rip-off of the SplitFish FragFX to me. http://www.splitfish.com/

  11. Traxxer911 says:

The design of the SplitFish FragFX actually looks better. My only concern is which controller has the better button layout.

  12. RenoRydaBP says:

Unreal tournament has keyboard and mouse support. That’s the only one I know of.
