Track Your Trophies on PlayStation.com

Earlier today, Eric Lempel announced a new feature that will be coming to the PlayStation site…a trophy cabinet! Best of all, the feature becomes available tomorrow!

This is only the first phase of what is to come and currently only allows you to view your own Trophies and lists, however additional features will be added throughout the year including the ability to compare your Trophies to those of other users.  All that is required is that you have a PSN account and visit PlayStation.com, though you’ll also need at least one Trophy-enabled game and a synced account before you’ll be able to see your own collection.

It’s nothing too fancy right now, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction towards the many features that the Trophy community has been wanting.

There is still one question remaining, but it seems to be more a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’.  When will Sony release that all-important feed to developers so the community can start utilizing this information for its own purposes?

  1. Woot. Hopefully you’ll be able to see leaderboards. I wonder who has the most trophies!?

  2. This is pretty exciting… good timing with our redesign. I wonder how we will incorporate these…

  3. Oh man, if there is a leader board, Wolfe would be on top!

  4. hopefully this means they will update the profile on the Ps3 soon

  5. Sony is on a frikin role, I cant wait to see what the next BIG firmware update will have, more importantly, when is it coming?!!

Not yet. In the future it’s a possibility, just not right now.

Well, according to the Playfire leaderboards (which some people do cheat on), wolfe is around 50th. I myself rank around 24th, however Crotin has me beat by a decent margin at 19th. Again, some people cheat there, but from the looks of it maybe 1-2 in the top 20. PS3Trophies.co.uk has a much more competitive leaderboards and is also closely monitored for cheaters by the community there.

  9. Finally. I like where Sony is going with this.

  10. Great news. Now all we need are a leaderboard, comparing trophies with friends online, and official trophy cards that update automatically. Am I asking for too much?

  11. I am pretty excited about this update. It should also make alot of trophy whores happy. I can’t wait to play with it tomorrow.

I hope we get to see all individual trophies earned, then be able to link it up in your Home apt. on a video screen. Neato

  13. Thats good news for the PSN community.

Very good step in the right direction indeed, I hope they keep it up.

Oh and guys LOVE the new site design, absolutely amazing, great job!

  15. Honestly, I wasn’t really all that hyped about trophies when they first came out, but now that I actually have some, I’m pretty excited to earn more and show them off to the world. Muahahhaha!!

  16. man what has taken them so long to do this? This is one of the first things i would have had with the trophy support. Good to see it coming and its a great way to boost the appeal of trophies and push more traffic through playstation.com

  17. DGR8Mc187 says:

Any extra trophy integration is always welcome

  18. I really like the new feature. I can’t wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.

  19. FrankDogg says:

Hopefully they will make this available to sites like Playfire so I wont have to manually add my trophies.

  20. The trophies integration is online.

  21. lperron says:

I think this is a great feature and can’t wait to see how it develops over time.

    @Frankdogg
Playfire has something now where it automatically tracks your trophies. You have to key in psn id and password though

  23. Sneeches says:

So glad this is finally available, now if we could just view our friends list as well as generate a gamercard for sig’s I”d be as happy as a pig in….yah you get it lol.

  24. @ Sneeches, you can view your friends list from the site.

  25. koolguy16 says:

really dont care for the trophy system, but its kool i guess

  26. its cool, they should give you a source address, then you can use it in sigs.

also why is it so hard to have HOME versions of trophys, atleast if u platinum a game u should get some great looking Home item,
Something u can just drop anywhere like the bubble machine. like if u platinum CoDWaW u can get 3 inventory items,
    1. the rifle sticking into the ground with a helmet on top (ur PSN ID could be on the helmet)
    2. a little model airplane of the blackcat flying in circles lol
    3. Idk but u get my point,
something cool like this. also home private spaces need more custimizing options like lbp, so atleast my apt would look more like a space ship barrack or something cool… most gamers like fantasy, but i think home was made more for just bloggers or someone who just got a job at Sony (looking at u CydX) but really isn’t a gamer themselves.

Very nice … about time Sony is putting this in. Microsoft has had it since launch!
