Capcom Delivering PS1 Classics on PSN

Looks like Capcom will be releasing some old PS1 titles. According to Christian Svensson, Capcom sent in the PS1 titles for certification, though they don’t know when they’ll be released:

“The first PS1 titles for PSN were submitted last week… when I have some dates for them, we’ll let you know what and when is going to happen. ”

The announcement came only one week after the NA release of Resident Evil 5. Releasing the old Resident Evil titles on PSN would be a smart move by both Capcom and Sony, especially with the recent release of the newest game in the series, Resident Evil 5.

Why they didn’t get them out a couple of weeks before RE5, I have no idea. They could have made a killing off people anticipating RE5. At least they are coming though

glad to see companies embracing PSN, also Capcom has been a big supporter of PSN, they eveb have their own storefront in the PS Store which is cool too .

If they happen to release RE2 on the PSN, I will definitely buy that. That was such a great game.

Day 1 buy for me I miss the old resident evil, all the puzzle solving and stuff, the new one doesn’t have any of that

I still have my copy of RE1 for PS1, RE2 was a little scarier so I hope they all come to PSN.
