MTV’s Multiplayer blog received a trailer for the upcoming music game Scratch: The Ultimate DJ.

It seems to play just like any other Guitar Hero or Rock Band game, except for the fact that you’ll need to purchase yet another peripheral in order to play these tracks properly. No firm release date has been announced, but look forward to this one dropping sometime in Q2 2009.

whoah it looks pretty cool but now there’l be a fllod of these like rick games, with DJ hero coming as well, so far this one seems very interesting and promising.

this game doesnt seem like just another beat game, hip hop guitar hero wannabe, the concept is this, hit the buttons to apply the samples that are in the track, such as a hi hat or a sound effect, and the vinyl isnt used to strum like GH or RB would do. It can be done at any time with the purpose of bonus points if it is done artistically, you never lose mid game. You will always end the song and get a score and performance evaluation, but you will get real time reaction from the crowd. At the beggining of each song you can pick a sample of another song and even add your own samples. This sample can be used at any time with the help of the fader bar. Adding these also give points if done correctly, the game will determine if they match.
Thats my overview of what Ive found, seems ineresting to me, might be a buy if DJ Hero doesnt impress me more. Since Ive always liked Guitar Hero but never found the music in it interesting enough for me to spend my money on any of these games. This might be the one for me.
BTW I used hotspot shield to see the vid, for tose of you outside the US that want to see it but cant.
