Max Payne 3

Rockstar Games announced today that Max Payne 3 will be ready this winter.  The “Success” of the movie has seemingly brought this franchise back to life.  The last Max Payne was release in 2003 with a Metacritic review of 73% on PS2, 84% on XBOX, and 86% on PC.  This is what Sam Houser had to say about the game:

“We’re starting a new chapter of Max’s life with this game. This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”

So leave a comment and let me know what you guys think about this. Also, what did you think of the movie?

I didn’t really like the Max Payne games on the PS2, they were way too hard. But interesting to see how this one shapes up.

  2. Jeff Belote Says:

Not really a fan of the Max Payne games either.

    Wow did’nt see this coming.
Will be looking forward to see the reviews or maybe a demo before i decide to buy it or not.

I didn’t even know there was even supposed to be a sequel… I thought he died in the last one, right? I played the first one and really liked the bullet time, but that’s when Matrix 1 was still wildly popular. I rented the part II, but I was unimpressed and never touched it again. I really have doubts about III’s success; it’ll probably be a cult collector’s game that really liked the first two.

OMG! I am so excited, I loved the first two, even though the movie wasn’t very good. Hopefully the story lives up to the first two games.
