Sony to Release Three Home Spaces per Month

03/25/2009 Written by Dan Massi

PlayStation Home will receive three new spaces every month, according to Jack Buser, director of PlayStation Home. The announcement came today at the Game Developers Conference (GDC).

“You’ll see about three new spaces launched a month…I’ll be shocked if we ever go under that number, we have so much in the pipeline.”

He also stated that recently a “good space” had a quarter of a million visits a week in the United States, with 3 out of 4 visitors staying for more then ten minutes.

Awesome news everyday Home, the PS3, PSN and the PSP are getting better. Sony was definitely cocky in the beginning and they never have been one to do things quickly, but anyone that has been around the PS1 and the PS2 should know your patience will be rewarded.

  2. With this type of support, Home is certain to become a great success.

  3. Hell yeah! PS3 is really hitting its stride. The console itself is almost unrecognizable compared to the version that launched; that’s how aggressive Sony’s firmware upgrades have been. It’s also good to know that Home will be receiving a lot of big updates over the coming year.

  4. Guitar Hero Home Space just announced for tomorrow and it looks very cool

  5. This is why I will never regret spending $600 on a Sony product. They always come through in the end. If they throw in a price cut, which I still say is not needed, they will dominate the other systems.
