PS3 is Lead Platform for Modern Warfare 2 [Update]

Todd Stevens of Infinity Ward was interviewed up his upcoming blockbuster title at GDC 09, and had some interested words for his fans:
“Modern Warfare 2 is set to release early this November, and will be on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The Playstation 3 is our leading platform for Modern Warfare 2. The PS3 version will run smoother and have slightly better visuals than the PC and 360 version. We’ve been working on Modern Warfare 2 ever since we released Call of Duty 4 back in 2007. We would like to thank everyone who is still with the Call of Duty 4 community. We will be releasing more information throughout the coming months, so be patient.”
How times have changed. The decision to treat PS3 as lead platform has become much more prevalent amongst 3rd party developers, and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of advantages Sony’s platform brings to the table.

lol…I knew Bowling wouldnt let that happen…hes in too deep with Microsoft, doesnt anyone remember how bad they treated the ps3 community with COD4…we were the redheaded stepchildren. Everything about that game was catered for the 360. I have a feeling nothing will change with this release
