That’s right. One of the most cinematic, awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping games in existence is in the process of being turned into a Hollywood Film. But there’s a catch. Brace yourselves. Producer Kevin Misher’s credits include Fighting and Public Enemies. Not too bad, right? The writer on the other hand, Justin Marks, wrote the screenplays for Voltron, Masters of the Universe, and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Lee.

Yes, we’re pissed off too. But it leads to an interesting discussion. Which director and writer do you think is most qualified to handle a project of this cinematic calibur?

This has great potential. I loved the game. Hopefully it ends up a good movie.

  2. Director: Takashi Miike

Writer: guy who wrote Jurasic park…..collosi are kinda like dinosaurs

Director: Christopher Nolan or Stephen Sommers

    Writer: Stephen Sommers

Nolan did Dark Knight, Sommers responsible for Mummy & Mummy Returns
Sommers would be perfect, he knows how to blend a classic with all the latest CG bells and whistles, and make a great story, oh and he generated 1 billion dollars so I’d choose him first.

  4. I’d choose J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves to helm the movie, both of Cloverfield fame. J.J.’s working on Star Trek right now, which somehow looks really good.

  5. hollywood won’t rest until they ruin every video game with a horrible movie adaptation

I must admit… I’m pretty sure this movie will be wack :(

  7. I’ve heard many things about this series and the story’s probably better than most of the Hollweird crap they pump out. Still, I think I’ll wait for the BD and rent it.
