Facebook functionality may be coming to PlayStation 3, according to SCEA’s John Koller. At the M16 Games Marketing Summit, panel moderator John Davison asked if there would be at one point where you would be playing on your PS3, and have it “spit it out on Facebook”.
In response, Koller stated that plans are already in development. He also said that such functionality is “critical not just for marketing but for the types of games we’re trying to develop. That day is coming quicker than some may think.”
Though this may mean that Facebook intregration could be coming to PS3 one day, Koller didn’t come right out with it. For all we know, it could be far from it. But as Joystiq pointed out, it would be a great idea, and an awesome feature for PlayStation 3 owners.

i dont use facebook much anymore but it would be a cool added feature
can you imagine the facebook statuses that we’ll see? “Insert name here” is being pwned right now. LOL
i wish my profile page were more like my facebook profile, so maybe it actually will happen some day
This would be sick. Facebook is my new addiction..
Well don’t they already have a presence on myspace and twitter???? Why do facebook just create something with Google joint venture and that would be a good thing for all.
personally I never cared for myspace or facebook or those types of things but if this is something that will get more people excited about PSN over LIVE then maybe I will keep more of an open mind about it.

I like this idea.
A facebook app that showed your PSN ID would be a nice first step. That way you can see who of your friends have a PS3. It’d be fun to find old friends from HS that you may not know have a PSN ID and get to gaming!
@StalkingSilence
I like that. I wish I knew who had a PS3 on my Facebook friends.
