Singstar Patch Gives Players a Voice
The PS Blog has announced the global patch for Singstar on PS3 has gone live, and adds some amazing new online features and enhanced gameplay. Here’s what the PS Blog had to say:
A new voice control menu will enable players to scroll through the song carousel and select the tracks they’d like to sing by simply speaking into the microphone. In addition to voice control, the new patch will include support for over 30 trophies including ‘Super Singer Gold’, ‘Keep it Cool’ and ‘All Eyes on You’, quick song purchase functionality and an enhanced redesign of the SingStore and MySingStarOnline. The new patch is free to users and will be compatible with all SingStar PS3 discs.
For all you Queen fans, late last week we announced the upcoming release of SingStar Queen for the PS3 and PS2. Available as a standalone disc on August 18, SingStar Queen features over 20 classic hits from the iconic pop-rock group including ‘We Are The Champions,’ ‘Another One Bites The Dust,’ ‘We Will Rock You,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and ‘Under Pressure’. got it already feb 17 from a UK site online..
also voice download isn’t till tomorrow .. its posted on the US singstore site under optiontional download (in) the singstore ..listed as the 22 for free 44mb download with a demo. Everything else is added, singstore update, trophies, new profile settings, easy friends list and favorite.

they show the amount of friends and an option to add favorite videos but no explanation or option.. overall its the same with a auto log in (after accepting) the terms and agreement. a tad bit quicker loads but lags sometimes probably because everyones slamming there servers.

How accurate is the voice control?

THE PATCH DOESNT HAVE VOICE CONTROL. Its listed but when downloaded YESTERDAY it never included it only trophies and the new singstore look/song update. THE VOICE CONTROL comes out tomorrow as “unlockable” from the singstore menu.
I have singstar 1-3, abba and Queen. Each one needs the update depending on the disk you start with.

QUEEN WAS IMPORTED ON FEB! 
From The video its HIGHLY ACCURATE… now we have to try it with the surround sound system on..also by using the way you display your songs important… meaning:
hitting L2 changes from artist to song..( and makes every song individual example: 4 coldplay songs in 1 set into each song by themselves displayed.
if it says artist (you say the name)
if it says song (say the song)
the infos on the right side of the screen (artist look up or song look up)
ah thanks guys for the clarification – it is one of the SINGSTAR EXTRAS coming in the future. I think i’ll pick it up. Hope it’s free.
