UBISOFT has filed the name of Driver: The Recruit on the US Patent and Trademark Office. The new game was filled on the 21st of April and approved yesterday. The trademark covers all of the below -
Game software and electronic game programs, namely, software games recorded on CD-ROM and digital video discs for computers; software games recorded on CD-ROMs, digital video discs, and cartridges for console and individual, portable gaming systems; software games that are downloadable from a remote computer site and electronic game software for mobile phones, personal digital assistants, and handheld computers
Which means the game may come our way via disc release or PSN release. Hopefully UBISOFT will have something to show us at E3. So keep an eye on PSLS for more news as it breaks.

cool, if this comes to the PSN I’ll download it for sure. I remember playing Driver on PS1 and it was kick ass
Hope this is a good remake.

The very first Driver game on PSX was the only game in the series that I actually played in it’s entirety. I may buy this one, though, for nostalgia.

I also only played the first Driver too. That was about 8 years ago…it was amazing. I never beat the game because I could never get past the first training mission. I eventually beat the training years later, but then I wasn’t interested in it anymore.
Were the other Driver games good?

Driver hasn’t been good since Driver. My hopes ain’t too high for this one, but I’ll keep a look out for it.
