Guerrilla’s flagship title, Killzone 2, has reached an incredible milestone. Since its release just two months ago, the game has had over one million players play the online component. Pretty good for what used to be considered ‘an unproven franchise.’
Guerrilla is still hard at work, improving this already perfect title with patches that keep expanding the gameplay possibilities. Make sure to look out for the Steel & Titanium DLC pack (as well as its trophies), set to release tomorrow evening. As always, PSLS will keep you posted on any updates regarding this game.

i wonder why they dont add a snow level? or a storm level.. like lighting, and massive storms etc.

Nice!! Thats alot of players!!

Well some levels in SP have lightning and high winds. But the lightning is usually man made. But I doubt that Snow Level would fit into the current story line. But with little knowledge of weather on other planets outside our own solar system we should just let them figure out the environmental issues on other habital planets…

right now this is where the online action is, R2 still has legs, but not like KZ2.
Looking forward to the new stuff tomorrow night

that’s great news!!!! Over 1 million online, take that HALO!!!!!!!! hahaha…but on a serious note They just won me back to the community. I sold my game a while back due to the horrible controls. Well since the last few patches (not sure which one) it has been fixed and now I”m loving the game. I just finished single player last night. Gonna go back through on super easy to get the rest of the trophies… ie: Kill 5 helghast with one gernade, find all symbols, etc…

they never changed the controls . . . . because there was never anything wrong with them
April 30th, 2009 at 7:25 AM
Actually bond2e2, they did make very minor changes to the controls. Small things like speeding up the ‘acceleration’ when you start a turn. People were initially perceiving that as laggy controls (not that I ever noticed :S )
Also mostly removing the snap to aim assist… made a huge difference IMO. I don’t know why they had it in the first place?

I still don’t understand why people complaint about controls, for me the game has excellent control. Great news, I’m downloading the maps as I write.

If you’ve played Halo or Counterstrike you’re whole life, it’s a big adjustment. I felt the same way when I first played the MP Beta, but after about half an hour it was a peace of cake.

It’s about to become 1,000,001 as I’m going to be joining the online community for the first time tonight. I’ll be the guy running around getting his arse fragged every 2 seconds. Please be gentle! LOL.

Wow! I had no idea there were so many KZ2 players. I still haven’t gotten around buying this game yet, but I think I want to rent it now and check out the online play.
