The developers over at Creative Assembly have some bad news for Stormrise owners regarding the game’s new patch.

“The second patch that has been worked on by Creative Assembly will not make it into the hands of the Stormrise players, due to costs and risks associated with testing and certifying the new changes and features.

Releasing patches for games is not an easy process, it requires the patch to be certified in multiple countries and divisions, which in this uncertain climate is unfortunately cost prohibitive.

The Stormrisers.com community will live on however, and Creative Assembly are dedicated to continuing to provide Stormrise players with the ability to organise weekly event nights, regular multiplayer games, engage in direct developer conversations, and win some seriously cool prizes.

To all those who were hanging out for Patch 2, I’m as genuinely disappointed as you are, and the only consolidation I can give you is to perhaps think about the amount you have enjoyed Stormrise in its current form.”

The second patch had 39 major fixes for the game, which you can read here. The list of fixes involved everything from AI behavior to equipment balance.

I think it’s worse telling people your playing a game with 39 wrong things in it, than not releasing it at all and keeping mum about it. Stick with KZ2.

wow why did it have so many issues in the first place?
