I know Im probably the one in a million but I dont like this idea at all… I hate the wii mote, and thus sold my wii. I love the controllers, hate motion sensing in games…. try playing a shooter with that thing, good fucken luck.

I’m fine with them coming out with this, I just don’t want them to turn into Nintendo and forget about the hardcore gamers.

im really hoping they will come out with some really cool games and even offer some games that are already out options to use this controller. hopefully this wont be left sitting around like my pseye.

I remember the first article you guys (PSLS) did about the ‘PS3mote’. Hopefully this new 3mote will be easier to use for High Velocity Bowling. Also, the LED & webcam thing sounds very interesting. 5/5 Rich!

DeAno Jackson you obviously don’t understand the wii. At all.

I mean honestly there’s something to be said about laying on a couch or a bed with your hands to your side playing games. I mean honestly the Wii has a lot of potential. None of which Nintendo is really capitalizing on. The third party devs don’t profit off of the Wii so development from good developers is nil.

I’ll tell you this I would absolutely LOVE to play games like Disgaea 1 handed laying in bed in the most comfortable position I can. That’s what I love about the wii. For the right games it’s sooo relaxing. No keeping your hands close together. They have distance between them. On top of that with games using adapters you don’t have to pay for a bunch of Gun Con controllers for games like Time Crisis. Other games could come out on PSN specifically for those controllers. There’s a TON of possibilities.

To say that you’re in the negative billions on exitement level, means you have like no imagination on being able to understand the possiblities.

Whether or not other devs will utilize this stuff is another question entirely. I for 1 would love to see an HD PSN version of Mad World. Hopefully it’ll work as good or better than Wii Motion plus.

If i wanted to waggle a remote looking thing at a TV, I’d've bought a Wii, which I didn’t. Let’s consider that a hint.

I’m cool with Sony doing it, but on a scale from one to ten, my excitement level for this is somewhere in the negative billions.

I wonder if it will need to be combined with a PS3 EyeToy since the Eye already uses led indicators in red and blue and it would not need much but a firmware update to add the new remotes functions to the OS. Then game devs will need to patch games unless Sony has already done that with a firmware patch, then the devs just need to add the API functions to their games through a small patch…

Like FPS shooters where you can build a replica shell to hold the remote and just point and shoot… That would make playing KZ2 better for those that have arthritis in the hands…LoL Like me…

My PS Eye hasn’t been used in almost a year. I’m still wondering what I’m supposed to do with it besides record random videos of myself talking at the screen. Eyepet better still be in development. That’s all I have to say.
