Metal Gear Online Deploys Gameplay Updates

A new post on the PS Blog has revealed two new gameplay updates that will compliment Metal Gear Online.
The first one, beginning May 12th, all players will be able to participate in a new game mode-Race Mission! In this mode two teams will compete against each other, while defending a designated target, and completing a series of checkpoints scattered within the map.
Also, beginning May 26th and continuing every week, the system will automatically choose a select number of players to receive exclusive access to the “Patriot”. The “Patriot” is a 5.56mm Hand Rifle that has infinite ammunition and requires no reload.

Isn’t this a little late? Didn’t most people stop playing this? I think lack of trophies hurt MGO big time.
@Solid Cake – I have yet to even play the single player due to lack of trophies.
@ Sneeches….you need to play MGS4…it is must. End of Story.
I’m having mixed feelings about this… on one hand it’s just you running around the map without weapons, essentially playing a Track&Field game; on the other hand, I could probably win every time.

really? is it because you are waiting for trophies to play or you arent going to play if the game doesnt ever offer trophy support? either way… you should play this game. you could play it now and then have no problem wanting to play it when or if trophy support ever comes. i almost never play games all the way through multiple times and this game ummm ive beaten it about 6 times. unlocked everything. got my big boss emblem. its an incredible game.
anyway MGO was a flop. the beta was hardly playable and the game is even worse. im not going to touch MGO unless they are willing to fork over the dough to get on sony’s servers. that will never happen so ill never play MGO again. and i was one of those super hype put days into the MGO beta and then its a straight lag fest. MGO is almost as big a disappointment as SOCOM. MGO sucks and ill never load it up again. MGS4 was easily worth the $60 but MGO isnt worth $10 on psn.

Awesome update, but the patriot sounds cheap.
