50 Cent: Blood on the Sand Disastrous Sales Figures

05/08/2009 Written by Kyle P.

Sales figures for 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand have been pathetically weak. So weak, that the game has only achieved 1/12th of the sales its prequel sold.

Since its initial release in February of this year, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand has only sold 56,000 units. When compared to it’s predecessor, this is but a minuscule amount. 50 Cent: Bulletproof, although receiving considerably lower scores, managed to sell 681,000 units, in the same time frame.

Releasing in 2005, 50 Cent: Bulletproof received a MetaCritic average of 47. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand has gotten better scores across the board, with an average of 71, even being described as “a guilty pleasure”.

  1. finally… this game should have never been made because the first one shouldn’t have achieved such great sales.

i dont like the musik from that Guy, let allone his game

  3. GunaK says:

    Both games are crap.

  4. Jeneric says:

his first cd was the shit. hes been going down hill ever since. never played the game but im sure it could be fun for some. however fun doesnt make the game for me

  5. Let this be a lesson to developers who don’t include trophies in their game in 2009 lol.

  6. I’m not trying to start a war or anything. But how many of you that are calling the game crap have actually played it?
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The game is good.

  7. KwietStorm says:

haha I didn’t even know this bullshit came out already

  8. @ Joseph

I havent played it but like many others I’m sure people dont want it for many reasons and the devs should have known that a game like this isnt mass appeal when there are way better shooter games out there that arent based on a rapper. please.

  9. The first game sold well, even though it received poor scores. So a better reviewed sequal comes out and it sells terribly.

I think this is a great example of people being extremely careful with their money to see that they don’t make a terrible decision again.

  10. Actually this isn’t a sequel to the previous game.

There was a game being made, and someone made an idea to slap some fiddy crap in it and make it the new fiddy cent game. So… ya…

The first game was released on the PS2 which had a MUCH larger install base.

I heard it’s kinda fun in an annoying-amount-of-cursing-and-random-violence sort of way.

This game deserves rental only. You rent it for the trophies and for some cheap laughs that’s about it.

@Joe If someone doesn’t like fiddy at all (I don’t) then… yes they can judge a game by it’s cover. I don’t see any reason why someone who is picky on shooters, doesn’t like the main character at all, doesn’t like his music in the slightest, and hates the concept of the game, can’t judge it by its cover.

Is the game rent worthy? Depends on how cheap you get it for. Is the game buy worthy? Maybe at like 5 dollars.

Quit bein so hard on Fiddy, lol
    He’s gonna make another game…………………
    Or die tryin.

  12. AHahaahhaahahahaaa! Maybe this will teach 50 a lesson… nobody wants to play his video game, not even the people that bought the first one.

  13. shadowjin says:

they need to destroy any rapper inspired games. the concept is
    stupid

  14. Sneeches says:

did he really expect people to buy his game?? But in all honesty it was pretty good lol
