Atari the team bringing, Ghostbusters: The Video Game has announced they will not be attending E3. This comes as a big surprise considering the visibility of Ghostbusters and E3 just being a few weeks away.
Officially Atari has played this off as being apart of a larger strategy, but it’s hard not to assume somewhere finances have something to do with this.
“Atari has made the proactive decision to attend but not exhibit at this year’s E3 event. Although we feel E3 benefits the entire games business, we are very focused around other selling and marketing initiatives for our upcoming Ghostbusters, Champions Online and other to be announced titles.”

E3 is about the most important event in the industry. Why do you think they pulled out?
Because nobody plays their 2600 anymore?
no one cares about them.. they havent kept up with the times in AGES.. everything a huge flop
I don’t blame them. Those proton packs are heavy to cart around. Plus having every second person walk up to your booth and say “He slimed me” gets a little bit dull after a while.

Because they make games that don’t do well overall… The games they make well they end up handling wrong…. Atari just doesn’t have a very good following IMO.
I could be wrong but I have a bad taste in my mouth between atari and DBZ games… I forget which ones they made though.
So much hate for the folks who brought us so much, on a sidenot I didn’t expect them to bet there anyway.
they run out of money??? lol, put all their eggs in one basket and hope it does good (ghostbusters)
cheapskates…
Mmmuh-oh! NOW who am I gonna call when something’s strange in my neighborhood?
o well. looks like we will have to wait for some ghostbusters demo footage.
Their games suck. (excluding ghostbusters)
That’s too bad.
