Sucker Punch Hearts Sony

05/13/2009 Written by JohnDraisey

In an interview with D+PAD, [shal]Sucker Punch[/shal] co-founder [shal]Bruce Oberg[/shal] went over various details about his studio’s new game [shal]inFamous[/shal], as well as the reason why his company has worked exclusively with Sony for the past 9 years.

“We love Sony. They’ve given us the freedom and resources to create a line of very special titles, from the Sly Cooper series to inFamous. And the PlayStation 3 is an incredible machine. By focusing on one platform, we’ve been able to squeeze performance out of our engine and deliver a really special experiences to PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 owners.”

Oberg’s statement is in line with what many 1st party developers say about their relationships with Sony, specifically that Sony gives them the support and freedom needed for them to make the games that they want to make. The staff here at PSLS can’t wait to see what Sucker Punch has achieved with inFamous, and looks forward to their future endeavors.
